...are the fans over on the Missouri State Football forum so concentrated on going to C-USA in 2025 that they don't realize that there is a game in a week with the Griz?
Hardly a mention of any of it. So much of the posts are concentrated on the move up and playing against SMU and Marshall in 2025.
Just strange.

Counterpoint: If UM was the one that announced a move to C-USA and MoState was staying down, I don't think I'd be as stoked for the game. I think there would be a lot of wondering/predictions re: how we're going to matchup at the next level next year.
 
If it was Montana moving up and I was chuffed about it, I still wouldn't want to overlook a program that was theoretically 'under' UM, and would hope to get a win at a tough location like Wa-Griz, or at least not get made to look like idiots for wanting to move up when they're not even competitive at a 'lower' level.

I hear you. I guess my initial point was more that because they aren't FCS playoff eligible and are moving up next season, I can understand why their fans might be more excited to talk about future conference foes, etc. That's not to say the players and fans won't care about this season, it's just understandable (to me, at least) why the fans might be looking ahead.

We've seen fans through the years on this site who think everything is meaningless without the playoffs. Just sayin'. 🤷‍♂️

Being competitive has zero impact on moving up.
 
I find it ironic that the 'move up' Missouri State Whatevertheyares get mentioned in posts which have advertisements for ladders from Home Depot. Maybe moving up will be harder than they think?

I guess I would look at it differently than them.
If the Griz were moving up, the last season of FCS I would want to stomp a mudhole into every team that the Griz played since they probably would never play the Griz again

I agree that fear is a large part of not joining what will become the silver bracket is what drives it. We’ll stay at what will become bronze to avoid any potential shame. 🙄
