There were some new UM ads during the Wombat game, and apparently a new slogan as well. The ads were a cut above the last batch.

We are #1 in the nation in turnover margin, how do we anoint ourselves that? Glad to see someone won a gold medal at the Special Olympics in reading comprehension this year.
 
Probably #1 in reverse Strength of Schedule too so that's 2 things now, things might be turning around.

Posted on another thread but probably more relevant here. Since their D2 win doesn't mean jack in the eyes the playoff committee, the Cats are essentially 1-1 right now. They have 8 games left and will need to go 6-2 in that stretch to reach the "required" 7 D1 wins to have a sniff at playoffs (I put that in quotes as the committee did let in a 6-5 team last year, but one they deemed had THE toughest schedule in all of FCS....obviously not the case here).

So 6-2 with games against UND, NAU, EWU, SUU, and UM still remaining. Honest question to all the cats posters, do you really see your team making this happen? I guess it's not impossible, but from what I've seen in your team I think this is a pipe dream. Would love your feedback though. Got some good cats buds who are very realistic that this is a rebuild year or two but they said most of your unrealistic fans don't see it that way.

Well, to be fair, I don't think anybody claimed that WO was the Green Bay Packers. Discussing at the Mo Club yesterday, none of us had ever heard of the "Great Northwest Athletic Conference." But it was a good game for the Wombats. They had a more or less living opponent, and could give the guys lots of field practice. I've never seen so many freshmen play. They've obviously got a shifty little QB in Murray. Bruggman isn't Prukop, but he can throw, and move on the ground when he needs to. It was a good scrimmage game. Try some things out. Get the kids some field time. Nothing wrong with that. It's probably not enough to create a winning season, but on its own merits it was a good workout.

7 wins is not a must......look at WIU.....last season.....but of course.....they got credit....for strength of schedule.....
