Is Haslam Hiring Too Quickly?

It has been 4 days since we lost to Eastern.

Do you think he should wait and see what Santa brings for Christmas and digest it over whatever Mormons eat for the Holidays?

A hasty decision hurts everyone..........don't believe me?

Ask Mike Tyson

Well you know Haslam won't be contemplating any big decisions over a Bailey's on the rocks
after Christmas dinner... Maybe some Donny & Marie Christmas music to calm the soul.

If we don't hire a coach until right before the ndsu game we will have a huge advantage. They'll have no idea what kind of team we are.

What if Haslam only has 3 legitimate options right now, Hauck, Stitt and Pease.

What if he thinks one is a douchebag and will not bow down to the big money douchebags that want said douchebag rehired?

What if the other candidate turns out to be a weasel and has more downside than upside?

What if the third candidate is being held accountable for actions 25 years ago and not being given a fair shake because of it.

So Haslam has 3 poor candidates and decides "fu*k it I am going to wait for a better group of people instead of the garbage I have in front of me".

Would you be upset that he made a logical decision or are you just ready to sell out for a burnout in the desert that will come back and not have anywhere near the success he had before? Remember Hauck does nothing to IMPROVE programs he maintains them.

That will probably spell T-Y

this is great stuff :thumb:

Most egrizers really want to hire somebody who's "pretty good", but not too good so that after a couple of ten win seasons somebody doesn't swoop in and hire them away. It's why you never tried to date the prettiest girl in school...hell, you couldn't tell the difference in the back seat of your dad's Chevy anyway...

I always could. She was the one that shaved her legs.

They don't care. They just do what they do.

We have a winner! I want this guy.

There's a high profile coach who would even bring his own car deal to the job.

That's of course if Coach "T" even would want the job...

Haslam was reported to be driving in North Dakota and that made me ill. I am having serious liver pulls and I need this coaching question to end soon.

Quick is what I want on the field and I sure hope Kent figures out how to get the new guy past Engstrom and is fast dealing with the entire thing. After a period of time, all Kent needs to do is ask Alpha who he should hire.....Bingo!

I'd prefer to lose every recruit and get the right coach rather than rush this process. But it's one of the best recruiting classes, ever!? :coffee:

Kent is handling this whole deal pretty well. This is a huge decision. Relax, folks.

What if Haslam has already offered the job to somebody, and that somebody is thinking it over?

What if Haslam is waiting until EWU loses?

What if the preferred applicant made a really complicated counter proposal, like a five year deal with a bunch of incentives, and Haslam is working with the Presidents and Regents to try to close the deal?

What if Player Rep turns down $350 K because he doesn't want to take a pay cut?

What if Craig Wayne Boyd wins The Voice?
