Is Choate Taking Cats in Right Direction?

This thread brings up what I believe is an interesting question: What if a team had an absolute unit at a talent position who was redshirting (assuming the coach didn't kick him off the team, or something), and they saved him to squeak into the playoffs. Now, the kid goes on to break records, get the NC, and win MVP of the playoffs. But he only played in four or fewer games, thus preserving an extra year of eligibility. Does he get the accolades? Or was it like he never played?

The missing piece on the Cats this year is a true QB. Next year Bauman and Beltran will be ready. Bauman at 6'6" has a strong, accurate arm and with his height sees the field really good. Beltran is a smart, physical kid that can run and pass. He led 5A powerhouse Centenniel HS in AZ to the State championship. He was also MVP of the scout team this year. Also, Rovig will be back. I am sure they will bring in a transfer or two. Gresch Jensen would be a great get. They also have a freshman who looks really good from the midwest that has already committed. Anderson will go back to LB or RB.

With the players returning next year and a solid QB, 7 wins or more is attainable.

Then, get them on the field! What is Choach

They wanted to redshirt this year, and Choate let them.

Thanks for the info. That's an odd concept. Imagine a coach allowing a player to redshirt according to the player's wishes.

There is no concept. It is fake news . Both have wanted to play since they arrived this past Summer. They were not ready. Anderson gave the best chance to win and Rovig was the back-up until he broke his ankle. Choate intent was to red shirt them both not vice versa!

As a Griz fan, no

I’m not one to disagree but...I disagree
That team is going to be a handful for the forseeable future. He has instilled an attitude in them that the Griz used to have.

Cats won the game, we all know that. Take away the two fumbles, and Griz win. Pretty simple.
