Is Bobby the reason we can’t sellout WA Griz?

Is Bobby the reason why Choach got an early extension after going 9-13?
I honestly think he is.

This is a guy who refers to the Griz as the "Grizz" and wants us all to believe that he's a Griz fan with noble intentions, all the while doing everything he can to slander Bobby Hauck. Nice try westcoast!

Notre Dame sellout streak expected to end at 273 games

This is when they are currently ranked in the top 20.

"That this comes during a time of sustained success for our football program reflects both challenges impacting the ticket market nationwide and the unique dynamics of this year's schedule."

Saturday's meeting will be the first time since 1978 that both Notre Dame (No. 16, CFP and AP) and Navy (No. 23 CFP, No. 21 AP) are ranked by The Associated Press.

I will say this again (mainly because I've forgotten how often I say it): It's the aging of the population.

We get old, we decide to watch games on TV on cold days, and eventually, we try to get our kids to take over our season tickets. But the kids don't want the tickets, because: (A) they don't live in Missoula, (B) they don't have the money, (C) they don't give a shit, (D) they have other things to do, (E) all of the above, (F) Bobcats suck.

South endzone tickets are on sale today for half price until 5 pm. If I could be there I would but I can't afford another plane ticket this year. Tell your buddies, tell your family, tell your friends to go buy tickets and to show up for all of us who would love to be there but can't.

Warming has to be the problem, that's why it is so snowy. Get your long johns on!
Nice to have someone anyone with a sense of humor.

Man made global warming. Why not? It's the cause of everything else! Either that or it's Trump's fault!

In all honesty, people have hit on the reasons, but none of them are just "Bobby". On-field results, enrollment, weather, aging fans, overall drop in football fans in general, cost, and many other things are the reasons. I don't know a single person that won't go because Bobby is the coach.

First of all, I want I've been to all the games this year and only ever miss when I have my own competition. Or when the school where I teach at plays for the state championship.
That being said, last week attendance was due to back to back home games with the big one coming up during hunting season.

4,000 short of a sellout on a beautiful November day against a regional rival is a problem. Enrollment must be the biggest factor, but many would say Bobby is a contributor to the decline in enrollment because of his scandalous original tenure.

this is the worst/stupidest post of the year, hands down and not even close!

I disagree. It's a top three in stupidity, but there have been stupider posts, Sneed is out for the year and We're done for because Cam is our quarterback. This idiotic post does rival them though.

Ultimate irony....all from the same poster.

If you want some real info on the Bobby Effect, look no further than the quarterback club up like 1000%.

Maybe if all the private landowners/farmers would stop selling time to outfitters people would fill their tags early. That would put more people in the seats. Look at the opening playoff games, always the lowest attended as it is the final weekend of hunting season. Next weeks attendance always had a few thousand more.....

Better to stay quiet and have people think you are an idiot, instead of saying/typing something and removing all doubt.

WestCatFan has hit on something valid to discuss but his one target is not even on the radar.

Having aged considerably since getting season tickets when the filed was still grass, here' what I've noticed.

We get to the stadium an hour later to start tailgating. We don't go downtown after the game but to the motel for a hot tub and early bed.

Now that our kids have graduated and moved out of Missoula, as with others in our group, our tailgates are at least a third less. Only one of the three of my kids are here and still go to the games, and finding people who want the other two seats is getting harder all the time.

We all know people who have gotten old enough that the hassle of the game day experience exceeds excitement of the live game atmosphere.

Indoor stadiums in the pros for baseball and football have ruined fans for the bad weather outdoor experience. That's why come October, cold and loud is now cold and noisy.

If you live in Missoula you may not see what those of us who live elsewhere see. The cost to stay two nights is through the roof and unbearable factor of Missoula traffic is increasing exponentially.

The crowded downtown Friday nightlife is more packed than ever, but that seems to be the desired party of the younger crowd, not the game on Saturday.

I don't see enrollment an issue at least as concerns the students. Pizza with the Prez seems to get and keep them in the stands. On the other hand, 3000 less FTE's means potentially up to 6000 less parents and as many siblings who would come see a game with the student.

60” high def TV.
No line to use restroom.
Fridge with beer no wait line.
Fridge with food no wait line.
Super comfortable chair.

Those are the main reasons.

Wondering what opinions are on why we can’t sellout WA griz anymore. I believe Bobby is part of it, I know most people on here think he is god but the reality is many fans despise him for a multitude of reasons. If not Bobby then what else would it be?

Is it the lack of brain cells why you are an idiot ?
Or were you just born that way ?

I’m guessing all of the above Joe.

As we all know, excitement is at an all-time high with the return of Bobby. If you want to see a major drop in attendance just Watch little brother next year after the preseason elete national champions fail to make the playoffs this year !!!
