I agree with everyone’s take on him leaving…but I wonder if instead he was taking an opportunity on national TV to sell the school and the brand. Look at it that way and it all fits as well.

This is how I interpreted that interview after listening to it a second time. I missed it the first time, I may have still been jumping around, yelling and scaring the dog...possibly. He did a great job of selling the School and the program. Additionally, talk about class. The very first thing he did was to show significant respect and praise to the other team. Well done coach.

Harm, I agree with AZDoc and you. I heard him using national TV coverage to give some love to the school and program. Nothing more mysterious than that.

Not sure of his intentions, but can tell, he is enjoying it and having as much fun as he ever has.
We are definitely seeing a side of him, he hasn't let us see prior to this year's run.
I actually like seeing this Bobby.
How much fun would it be, to spend a weekend with him and Tim, hearing football stories, talking football, and downing beers?

This program has expectations. Listen to the post-game press conference. He understands what comes with his position. He wasn't living up to it and made changes. Not just X and Os but how he communicated with people including the press.

I would think it is a wee bit early for this discussion. That said, I think he was, as has been said, praising the program and his Alma Mater. Either way, he has done his job and IMHO, pretty darn well.

One of the Griz player's dad pre-game said his son told him before the start of the season Cliff would be the starting QB...took the coaches a few weeks and a bad loss to commit to Cliff. It was the correct choice looking back in hindsight. A portal victory for the Griz.
Bobby and staff are good at finding talent in HS and portal. Griz nation help sell the pitch along with the respect Bobby and staff have earned. Love him or not..Bobby is Montana football.
