Is #37 cursed?

I remember when Jason Crebo handed #37 to Milt Popovich back in the 40s or 50s, and Milt never got hurt. (Yes, I found the time machine).

Someone doesn't know a curse from a coincidence from a correlation from a cause and effect.

Curse, is bad luck not limited to anyone activity. If all the injuries to guys who had #37 were in odd places such as slipping while getting off the team bus and pulling a groin, a sprained wrist getting a girlfriend's bra hasp undone, or chocking at the pre-game buffet on a hard-boiled egg, you might have a curse. A correlation is observing that when one strident famous poster on the site gets banned, another comes to life and then disappears when that poster's ban is lifted, but reappears when that poster checks out on sabbatical. A coincidence is a short term repeated sequence of random events, like BJ's from the fiancee 3 night in a row, (absent a recent offing of a diamond ring) A cause and effect is raising an eyebrow amazing at the inanity of every single post of a single poster (or BJ's 3 nights in a row after giving a fiancee a diamond ring)

That clarified, back to the claim of a 37 curse. Curse is just a coincidence for dummies.

Still nobody can refute that more players get hurt wearing the #37 than any other number on our roster except 15
 
7 of 12 players that wore the number have been injured some lost careers others missed a season or many game it is fact.
 
You can't claim #37 is an outlier without also proving that other numbers aren't also injured as frequently.

I agree. I usually don't read Big G or Alpha's post, but this is kind of funny seeing him try to defend his position. By the way, Jason Crebo was injured his Sr. year right before playoffs, but played anyway and still made it to the combines as well as a shot with Buffalo, but he was never totally healed for either. One of the hardest hits I ever saw was him laying out the ISU QB. Last I heard, Jason is doing well in Helena. But your mental illness comment did make me laugh. Sometimes I worry that you actually believe your own BS.
 
Two serious observations. 1) In the old days these guys played more games, like average 15 a year, thus more opportunity for injury. 2) Combine that with the way the #37s played. There was no half ass hits, they lit people up which can expose them for more opportunity of injury. Kind of like Cam Chandler. Cam wants a new contract because he knows his NFL career will likely be short. He plays with incredible intensity and subjects himself to more injuries, especially when you add playoff games.
Side note: Notice Cam (as well as Thomas & Sherman) were not at full strength for SB, but they were healthy for last game of regular season. Extra games do make a difference especially when you are playing higher level teams.
