asking which visiting player had the best game against the Griz. It might be interesting to recall similar heroics by visitors against the BB team. I know Estes had a huge game here and made the floor rattle every time he came down with a ball.

Recently I think of Coastal Carolina RB Lorenzo Taliaferro in the playoffs. Dude ran all over us. Totally dominated. Lillard was unbelievable in the championship game at Dahlberg. So glad we had Kareem that night.

Rodney Stuckey had a huge a game in Dahlberg. After that game, LK proclaimed, Stuckey belonged in the NBA. LK nailed that one!

Didn't Doug christie have a good game in Missoula? There was also a really good player in the late 80's from UC irvine that was great in the holiday classic.(kevin magee) I might be getting those wrong.
One of the best players I ever saw In Dahlberg was Sheryl Swoopes!

Carl Lott, TCU:

TCU Defeats Montana in NIT Opener, 76-69

March 12, 1986|Associated Press

MISSOULA, Mont. — Guard Carl Lott scored 27 points to lead Texas Christian to a 76-69 victory over Montana Tuesday night in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament.

Lott, a 6-foot 4-inch junior, hit 12 of 14 shots from the field and 3 of 6 free throws as TCU, which tied for the title in the Southwest Conference, raised its record to 22-8.

Montana, which finished at 21-11, was paced by 6-9 senior forward Larry Krystkowiak, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds. With a dunk at the final buzzer, Krystkowiak tied the Big Sky Conference career scoring record of 2,019 points set by Weber State's Bruce Collins in 1976-1980.

Kral Ferch was always a very good player but he seemed to rise to new heights every time he played the Griz whether at home or in Missoula.

While Adras has led his team to the Big Sky Tournament in nine of his 11 seasons, the first is the most memorable in Missoula. Entering as the No. 3 seed, NAU defeated Portland State in the quarterfinals before dropping Eastern Washington in the semis. In the finals on a neutral court, the Lumberjacks won in overtime over Cal-State Northridge behind 22 points from Adam Lopez and 20 from Big Sky Tournament MVP Ross Land

I rrealize Land didn't play the Griz in that tourney, but I also remember him lighting up the Griz in his regular-season trip here too. He,obviously, loved playing in Mlsa.

I remember his full-court heave against northridge right before half that he made. Incredible. We loved it!

Specifically, I remember him draining yet another long-distance 3 and turning towards us and mouthing "I'm on fire". True story. Someone find the stats and it'll show he had at least one other red-hot game vs the Griz\
