Instate Recruiting

I think you're right about transfers in the portal being more likely. They have already done it once, so it is an easier leap to take. I'm not convinced that a high school recruit from Montana is more likely to stay than a high school recruit from, say, Minnesota, but I don't have any actual data to look at on that.
Good point. Maybe the rule is that Portal kids are more likely to transfer than high school kids, regardless of where they are from originally.

Thanks for pulling this together. We could have used Jackson too this year. I think the above group was our biggest loss to the Portal. I do think Portal players are more likely to transfer than MT kids. Look at Fife, Rac, Wilson and Jackson above.
Our only MT kids that transfer out are the backup QB's. :)

And has zero to do with the post since it was a reference to Raul Allegre.
The post referenced a kicker from instate high school to Nebraska neither of which was Raul Allegre. Brian Buschini transferred to Nebraska from UM and Helena Capital and retired after one mini camp tryout in the NFL.

See how many in state (North Dakota) kids North Dakota State has starting for their offense? Then see how many kids from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania they have starting for their offense? Then tell me how important it is to get in state (Montana) kids again.
