Instant Replay

Serious question....why does the Big Sky not utilize replay? Is it money, time, resources....what is it? Other FCS conferences are using it. You have to get these calls right and to see a Griz TD taken away that can have impact on the game is frustrating.

Had there been any info given by Fullerton or the conference on this issue?

So no one knows the answer to my question....what are the reasons the BSC doesn't have it now. I didn't ask about next year.

The hold up is paying over time, the guy running the system would be waaaayyyy over 40 hours per week. This shit is every week. The BSC is big enough and powerful enough to have the best or at least upper echelon officials in the FCS. However, they are an embarrassment to the Big Sky and football in general.

Probably because it isn't required.

Hell, the PAC12 doesn't even have good officials. Not sure there is an upper echelon of officials period.

FCS isn't required to have replay. NDSU had replay, presumably because the Mo Valley made the investment. That's impressive because you like to see a conference doing what's necessary to improve the quality of athletics without being forced to.
next year replay will be required and the Big Sky will be forced to do the right thing. The conference probably won't like it. There will have to be a crew to queue up the replay, an official to make the review. Games could get bogged down with numerous reviews of terrible officiating.
Replay probably will affect the flow of Big Sigh Conference games, which might not be good.

I know I'll be in the minority on this, but what the hell... That TD the Griz were robbed of wasn't the difference in this game. Lots of you will likely agree with that, but regardless..

I actually do NOT want replay. Ever. I LIKE that mistakes are made. It's part of the game. It sucks sometimes, but it's also one of those things that makes games historic, memorable and -- human.

I don't watch to see an antiseptic display that looks like a practice. I like that things are messy and people screw up. Because that's life.

The Big Sky conference may as well just eliminate officiating at football games and just pay one zebra to spot the ball and tell the clock guy when to run the time. It would save some money and things would be pretty close to the same they are now as far as gamesmanship.

I don't want it either. The play today was an easy call to the naked eye so an upgrade in officials is more needed. If the crap they put in stripes every week doesn't change you can add an extra two hours to each game given the amount of missed calls every week. You can spray febreeze on a turd but it still comes up looking like sh!&

+1 same here replay doesn't work and it slows the game down

The instant replay would show just how substandard officiating is in the BSC.
