Influential Griz from Butte

Access and peruse The Buttecast with Bill Foley and check with him. He has interviewed several of the individuals mentioned, is a grad of UM J-school, former sports writer, and from Butte America.

I'm compiling information for a project I'm working on. The project will center around the influence and mark players/coaches from Butte have made on the history of Bobcat and Griz football. I have a list started, but I would like input from others. Please reply in the thread and help me come up with a comprehensive list. Todd Erickson, Colt Anderson, Tom Davis, George Dahlberg, Eso Naranche, Bob O'Billovich, Milt Popovich, off the top of my head.
Let’s not forget Padraig McGuillicutty, Meaderville (Butte). He developed the first insulated jock strap…

Joe Roberts was a Butte guy, played football for the Griz late 50’s, coached football MCHS Spartans mid 60’s, undefeated 1963 -64, moved up to administration, passed away in Spokane.

Jay Fagan was a beast of an O-lineman for the Griz (1985-90) and a proud Butte Bulldog, signed a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins, if I'm allowed to say that.
