With all due respect my Griz friend. I disagree with the notion that a moderator should be involved in the discussion. If you are to be objective and do your job as an impartial judge, the idea that you should be allowed to post opinions in favor of one side of an argument or another flies in the face of the idea that you are an impartial arbitrator.

And beyond that, you guys are not really that good at your job. I had this discussion with Chris a while back via email. He said that you have so much going on that you could never read all posts and stop violations of your rules. Really? If you have enough time on your hands to post your own opinions, then why don't you have enough time to do you jobs? Would it be acceptable to you if I called you a cunt? Didn't think so. You guys have let some of your regular posters use the word, which is objectionable to all self respecting people I know.

So why do you let that sort of thing go? Or even allow the use of the word?

I post here and have been a member here longer than you. I occasionally post my thoughts or opinions as well. This is not a job, I don't get any perks, and I don't read every post. I have a real job, and I work very long hours at said real job, and I can assure you that eGriz is not nor will never be a "job." I don't want to read every post on here, nor do I have time to read every post. On my site, WyoNation, my moderators post freely just like they do here.. and they do a great job of being moderators as well as posters on the board. Why can't moderators wear both hats? Would you rather I moderate under another screen name like they do at AnyGivenSaturday? You don't get to say what I can and can't post, and Chris is in total agreement with that.. if I want (or any of the other moderators) to participate in a discussion then I will. Being a moderator isn't reading every post, it's cleaning up some of the BS that people on here post.. and we get rid of a lot more than you could probably wrap your head around. Go find me a sports message board where moderators aren't regular posters as well and we'll have this discussion again.

I don't completely disagree. They usually do a good job. But it is a job they took on as a job. I doubt that they get paid straight up money but I'm sure they get their perks. I guess the right to express uncensored bullshit is one of the perks.

I have had as many or more posts deleted than anybody outside of growler. Yes I have been miffed a couple of times but at the end of the day it's Chris's gig and he can do whatever he wants with it. if you are all butthurt about censorship on this board you have two choices, get over it or don't post.

I don't think either Chris or the mods really care about what decision you make.

Are you shitting me? Have you heard of DNA and lawyers? How is it that you are a mod on this forum? Chris must be really busy.

If it is a week or a month later that the accusation is made, I wonder how much DNA evidence there is available, assuming that your name is not Lewinski, but I am willing to be enlightened. As far as a lawer being introduced AS evidence, that's a new one to me. We may have to check with Player Rep because I thought lawyers introduced evidence. Perhaps a failure of my liberal arts education at the U of M.


I probably don't frequent as many boards as you, but I don't know of any that prohibits moderator opinions. Impartial? I don't believe it is possible to be a fan of the Grizzlies, the U of M, and the great state of Montana and be impartial. What a washed out colorless world that would be. There are those however who would like to silence folks that don't agree with their particular agendas. If you give me a minute, I'll try to think of what they are called...

As far a getting paid, I guess the check's in the mail. But there are certain perks like the semi annual mod retreats in the corparate jet. Belize in the winter, Alaska in the summer. Oh and there was the time Chris flew in the plane full of Romanian supermodels as a birthday suprise. Oh, and the trip to the Super Bowl. Other than that it's the normal company cars, Rolexes, and unlimited access to Chris's cabin on the island at Salmon Lake. Just so you don't get more bent out of shape, the last paragraph is a joke.

But, I will give you one example which proves my point...... they continually allow posters like Hammer to post a unauthorized video of me taken without my permission. All things considered, I think the Mods here do a good job. In fact, compared to other sites like Huffington, Brietbart, and all the crazy attracting sites, they do a VERY good job....
