In State Montana High School Recruits 2014

Not sure if anybody saw it, but Dissly garnered Parade magazine 2nd team all-American honors. I was wondering, have any other Montanans achieved that lofty status?

Nope....Dissly is the first and only.

To continue the discussion of in-state recruits, I hear both UM and MSU are after the Epperly kid out of Kalispell. I think both programs have offered a partial.

I haven't seen him play, and don't know much about him.

He may be a last minute surprise signee for either MSU or UM.

Actually Jon Knudson (sp) made the list as well out of CMR. Played for Colorado in the mid 90's I believe.

You could be right....I just know the Chronicle printed an article about Dissly being the first parade all american from Montana.

Just looked it up. He made the list in 1990

Yeah it looks like the BDC went back and edited. The google headline still says "first montanan" but updated headline says "first from Bozeman"

Epperly to the Griz, James to the Cats, per Colter Nuanez.

A pair of standouts from Glacier's runner-up FB team will continue their careers in college. Evan Epperly will be a Griz, Noah James a Cat.

Sean Foley, a speedy DB/WR from Whitefish, has committed to Montana. @sdfoley3 was on my Super State team for @HometownPrideMT #BigSkyFB

Really surprised there was no battles between ndsu/Montana this year.
Well, really, there wasn't all that much to battle over to begin with. A little bit here, a little bit there, but we all know the player introduction scene for NDSU nowadays anyways:

So, as it it, if you got them, we didn't want them to begin with.

Heard this fa few days ago, but sounded like too much a rumor to post: Butte QB Dallas Cook is going to ND State College of Science.

It is actually a pretty good football school. Lots of Big 10 / Big 12 drop-downs. I know a kid who went there a few years ago, so I kind of followed them.

I actually had the coach from there contact me as a senior in high school. He was actually recruiting a guy I graduated with for track and my name came up as he was the track and football coach. Only had the one phone call with him. I had no delusions that my football career would go past high school. Went to Missoula and became a physical therapist.

I posted several weeks ago that he was headed JuCo. If you are not ready academically, that's where you go to try to get ready.... Anyone who thinks he is heading there because of his talent level is simply wrong.

Only he will NOT be playing with Butorovich. Butorovich signed with a D-II team after the end of his freshman season at NDSCOS.
