In state football rivalries

Even in the Big Sky era Bozeman State has played like an NAIA school. Should we not count those wins either?

In case you haven’t caught on, we only “count” whatever fits their argument.

Interpret facts how you will.

Don’t be stupid. ;)
do you really think you're any different than they are?

Could be worse...

I could be a chick that spends have my time on e-griz pretending to be a fan, while I spew my agenda under the guise that I am an "objective" fan.

Fail.

Count the wins, but to act like you are so much better by doubling the record and being proud of lesser competition? 28-22 ya, NAIA

In the Big Sky era, so since 1963, the Kitties have won 1 by 30 or more, while the Griz have won 7. FYI. So, yes, NAIA.

Fail again.

You would have been better off with a maroon colored glasses or koolaid cliché. In case you didn't know, those are the standard rebuttals for your ilk.

Keep it going though. Fun.

Ok, scat fans so you wanna spew the record since BSC inception. Let's talk more recent years. What's the record in the rivalry the past 25 years?

both sides should be bragging about what a great rivalry this state has produced. did i just alienate myself to both with that comment? :?

I oddly enjoy this conversation. The grizz take pride in the overall record, which they should (and I would too if the tables were turned). Both teams lined up and played the game, and the overall record stands by itself. The grizz take pride in the streak which they should. Stadium, tradition, etc. That's all fine and I won't attempt to diminish any of that, particularly on this board.

However, as a Cat fan, I enjoy the parallel discussion about the apples to apples comparison (i.e. when both teams played at the same level with the same number of scholarships). This is not an either/or discussion with one group getting to be declared the winner, but a parallel discussion that has merit all by itself. As for the BSC head to head record, we need to go 8-2 in the next 10 years (or sooner when the inevitable playoff matchup happens) to reel you guys in. That's a worthy goal and certainly worthy of all Bobcats fans to track and be excited about. I don’t have the numbers right in front of me, but we’re about the same number of games behind when you add in the all the other games when we were at the same level with the same number scholarships. I hope to see us square that comparison up sometime in the future, and none of you can stop me and other Bobcat fans from tracking this and getting excited about it.

We’ll see you in November in Bozeman. We’ll be ready this time.

Enough rhetoric. MSU sucks, and has always done so throughout the past 100 years.

Nice one Brian. Why don't you let the big kids take it from here.
