I'm a Griz, married to a Cat. It's not always easy, but we've learned to go our separate directions this weekend every year. Been married 22 years last August.
My wife is one of only two Griz in our extended family. All my siblings and all of her's were Bobcats

I feel bad for her.

Must to rough to only be able to gloat for 20 of the last 25 years.

;)

I was born and raised in Livingston where most folks are Cat fans. Moved away with the military in the early 80's. Stationed at Malmstrom in the late 90's and finally retired here. Went to a griz game in 1995 with an old high school buddy who graduated from UM. Hooked on griz ever since. However, all my family went to MSU from Livingston, My son went to MSU for two years, My daughter in-law graduated Nurse school from MSU and all of her family graduated with degrees from MSU. My wife and I are the only Griz fans on her side and my side. We have interesting family get togethers. I am probably one of the most ate up Griz fans in Montana and I let all the family know it. Kind of a perckerhead if you will. When the Cats beat us last year, it was very tough for awhile, a predicament I do not want to be in again for a long time. Go Griz!!

I grew up in a totally Griz family, east of the Divide in a Bobcat world. I believe I am a better person for the experience.

I'm a product of mixed marriage -- my mom was a Griz, my dad a Bobcat. My dad and my brother both played football for MSU. My sister is a professor at MSU. At last count, my extended family numbers 22 Bobcats and 7 Griz. Currently, I've got 2 nieces at MSU and a nephew at UM. There really isn't much family trash talking. but some decent barbs fly back and forth on occasion. As for myself, the first time I walked across the Oval at UM, I found my home. And as much as I dislike adages, cliches, etc...home is where the heart is and my heart beats maroon and silver.

My wife is one of only two Griz in our extended family. All my siblings and all of her's were Bobcats, and all of the nieces and nephews save one Griz and a couple at Tech, Wyoming, and MSUB.

Interestingly the kids that went to Tech, Wyoming and MSUB are all big time Bobcat fans too!

Both of our kids are Bobcats as well!

She takes it pretty well, but she HATES this week!

After the Griz win she'll love the rest of the year! :D

No, cause she would have to deal with my pouting :(

The worst for her is the tailgate in Bozeman, with all 4 of my brothers there to give her crap!

I was married to a state grad. Key word being "was". And that's all I have to say about that. FTC!

Daughter is a sophomore at State. She comes home for all the Griz games and wears Maroon and Silver to all Scat games at home. What else could I ask for as a father?
