-For whatever reason Pflu is gone...whatever

-We will get a new coach (probably a better one).....

-I'm still pumped and will be watching every snap of the 2012 season

-The Griz will still be awesome...

We will get a new head coach. The team will likely lose valuable prep time this spring and fall with the transition.

We will lose a number of recruits and lose a number of young players to transfer

We will have a hard time recruiting for a few years.

I will still attend and/or watch every game, but the reality is it could take years for the program to fully recover from this.

I do not buy your contention that our recruiting will be effected by this. 95% of the recruiting is done by the assistant coaches anyway. We still have them around. I only hope that one of them is elevated to head coach, and keeps the other assistants on his staff. That way, we do not lose continuity in the recruiting process.

As for losing some players from our roster........ if they don't want to be here, let them leave. No big deal. Our program is bigger than any player.

We will feel the ripple effect of this when you see the recruits from 2012 start dropping off the map. To anyone that thinks that this will not have a lasting and maybe even very damaging affect to the program is kidding themselves. Although I hope it to not be true we may be witnessing the beginning of the end. BTW is Engstrom related to Jeff Ireland?

Dont get me started on Jeff Ireland

I think you guys have enough momentum with the huge run of success the past couple decades to where this thing won't exactly run your program into the ground, as almost always happens at some point with dominant programs (Nebraska, Miama, etc). However, it will definitely cause a temporary downturn in what griz nation is used to seeing. My early prediction is that you'll have a winning season in 2012 but barely. 6-5, 7-4... something like that, playoff bubble team.

in a nutshell the powers that be were tired of the b.s going on with the football team and decided pflu's and o'day's methods were not working. so they made a change. i would guess that the intem coach is coming in with orders to clean out the rotten eggs. to make it easier on the new head coach in 2013. my suggestion to the current team members is to keep their noses clean or there is a good chance they will be gone.

Keep dreamin'

No one has left yet, the team appears together, no evidence yet of recruits not coming, excellent hire of interim coach. We may have gulped, but no evidence of skipping a beat yet. We will emerge stronger and the bobs are still f#%&$d.

Perhaps we will play dead for a period. Yeah, we will come alive and continue to be the team in our conference. The champs. Still, this is a shitty period to endure and very few of us are enjoying this low.

We will be back, make no mistake about that!
