Impressive! Attendance Record

[Even with the full student allotment, they compress into about 2/3 of the space. There's always plenty of room up there.
This would be impossible at NDSU.

Speaking of whom, NDSU was only at 12,557 this weekend putting them at 67% capacity. Surprised me.

Did they chant "ESG GCG" super loud so you could hear it on the TV broadcast after their first payoff touchdown against a team from a different part of the country? Did they put out the call to all big boosters to buy a couple thousand tickets so they'd get some students to the game?

Still confused why it is an issue that Boosters purchased tickets, so students could get in free? This is about the 3rd time that someone over here brought it up.. Is it a bad thing?

Not bad in my books. Pretty sure we have had businesses in Missoula buy up tickets and donate them so we had sellouts in the past. I could be wrong.

Not a bad thing. Just seems odd that the students couldn't buy their own. Did they do it to boost attendance and get the kids in free.....or did they really want to hear the mindless "ESG GCG" chant during a playoff game against a team from Tennessee two weeks after the "Shit Eaters" smoked 'em??!!

That chant is so F'in stupid! Does anyone over there realize it?

Weren’t you guys only at 78%? Also not too great and surprising to me.
15327/17777 = 86%
I'll take it. Better than both playoffs games in 2019.

17777??? You guys brag all the time how your capacity is 19K +. Now it’s suddenly only 17,777? So every time you have 19k in your stadium is a falsehood?

Did they not have enough room to add one more seat for 17,778?

Try to keep up. We are ~110% capacity on average for the year.

Ohhhhhhh so your real capacity is 19,500 like I said and you only had 15k fans so 78% of your real capacity. Perfect!

No. A review of the thread and this wiki page I think will get you over the finish line. We'll see. Time will tell. Please read carefully.

Ohhhhh I get it now, you’re applying Bobcat Math!
Now it all makes sense!

So your stadium that regularly holds 19k and has even held 20k before suddenly and magically only holds 17k when only 15k show up for your home playoff game.

Well at least some of those pansies got to storm the field after the big win. How embarrassing is that shit. Did you lead the charge?

Not a bad thing. Just seems odd that the students couldn't buy their own. They have done this every playoff game that I can remember. When you go to renew your tickets for playoff games, they ask "would you like to purchase a ticket for a student?" We always buy a couple extra for them. Has nothing to do with the Chant (I don't like it either, but students will do as students do)... It has to do with giving kids something for free, everyone likes free. UM does the same thing.

I have been a season ticket holder at UM for more than 35 years and have never once been asked to "purchase a ticket for a student."

On the griz side, I am just going off what people that are corporate sponsors told me. My company is a corporate sponsor as well for the Cats, so maybe it was just us that got asked. if I am wrong about the griz one, then I apologize.

Hooked, as I was told earlier in this thread, those extra 2k are sitting in temporary bleachers that are brought in for every game, or at least until the playoffs start. Please enlighten me on this chant also. Do they actually chant the letters or is that just an abbreviation of what they’re chanting like FTC or FTE? And what do the letters stand for if so?

How much is a ticket if a student buys it?

I THINK a student ticket is $20 (I could be wrong about that, and probably am). I know that you could buy one for a student for $7. AGAIN I am not sure how much the students pay, but believe it is more than that.
