I don't need exact numbers...don't kill yourself trying to get them, lol. Would we feel the same way if the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th string RB's were out, but Knight was not? Or if Brown and Patterson had gotten hurt in garbage time but Cam had stayed healthy? My only point is, 19 may be a high number, but it depends on who and at what position those injuries occur. Sulser is gone, and we haven't really missed a beat with the WR's....losing Flowers, on the other hand, has severely hurt our KR game...losing depth at O-line hurts...losing your starting right tackle & guard REALLY hurts....
All fair points, but I think this season we’re past a certain point where the sheer numbers actually matter, especially because the offense hasn’t been able to get into a rhythm at all. Losing Sulser might not seem like a big deal (I’d argue it’s huge, though. He was the #1 receiver in the spring), but it’s compounded when his replacement changes every other game due to injury. We’re now down to our 4th #3 WR.
But to your point on Knight, if he was healthy, that 19 number would be more like 15, since he’d be the starter every game, and that wouldn’t have increased the number of different starters (and we’d have been in much better shape because of it).
