IMG academy, interesting article.

This is an interesting article and a real good read. Once you read the article look at the map at the bottom that shows where coaches have come from whom visited IMG academy. Montana isnt on there but NDSU and South Dakota are. I think its time we start tapping into resources like that.

IMG isn't just a Florida school in terms of attendance. I think we jawed about a kid from Washington last year or the year prior, who wound up walking on FBS. You're right, leave no stone unturned, even if most if their kids aren't looking for anything but the show.

Haven't we had an IMG recruit on this board within the last two years. Maybe last year...LB?

yes, and he was a LB...we were one of probably 18 offers if I remember correctly.

Does anyone think its strange to have a school focused primarily around a sport....and than school as a secondary?

They say they have great teachers but I dont buy in that kids are really pushing their academics there.

Also could you imagine trying to keep track of a bunch of high school age kids living in dorms??? What a nightmare.

Reagan HS in San Antonio lost their QB to IMG academy last year. Team REALLY struggled without him. A 5-start dual threat QB, he had verballed to Baylor...then flipped to A&M....Guess he went to IMG just to hone his skills, because he still signed with A&M. Seems like a 5* could do batter. Had offers from Ohio State, Clemson, LSU & Auburn, to name a few (18 total, I believe).

The kid was named Joel Dublanko and he is a linebacker at University of Cincinnati right now.

The one I remember was Ryan Bowman. Walk on @ Washington.

Cats had a women's bball player from img maybe 8-10 years ago.

Ya I know Texas high school coaches have pretty much launched an all out war against the academy....cant say I blame them.
