I understand 75. It was tough to stomach the second half.
Bottom line is no one is dead and we won the game!
I am one happy drunk Griz fan.
All of the above. :thumb:

This... Lets find out where we are at tomorrow. We have a chance now lets believe and get a round 1 W... Go Griz!

75, I said or whatever your beef is. You clearly have one with Stitt. Anyone who is disgruntled with this type of win over the Cats is either out to lunch, or driving an agenda.

75 probably has a kid who plays on the team that use to get playing time last year and now this year he is not getting much time.
This explains the "4th Quarter Strategy" ... how?

You did notice that we lost the second half, right? And we were not playing our bench?

Do you think that was astute coaching? The players? The "stars?" Are you saying that was a "strategy?" A brilliant strategic ploy designed to lull the Wombats into thinking they were winning?

I am so glad we won. But we lost the last two quarters and that was not an accident.
Nope, wasn't an accident...threw an interception with a short field left for the cats right out of the gate in the second half...
Went conservative....
I'll take an ass stomping first half with a 23 point lead, and then a conservative second half that we get out scored by 4......any fucking game of the year....

All of this.

You may not like his (75's) perspective, but it's his and it's also not wrong. I was equally underwhelmed (read: frustrated) with the second half, but obviously very happy with the end result. At least he states his position intelligibly, which is more than I can say for a lot of his detractors. :twocents:

Sorry Cfalls, but in 75's case it's not a point, it's agenda he's been driving ever since Chalich went down and Simis took over. One post is making a point, 500 of them on the SAME THING is something else. And I notice he didn't deny that he is a player's parent who's not getting run.

Jayzuz. I also didn't deny I was Cleopatra. Do I need to?

My youngest is 30. He's not playing football.

75, understood. But no matter how old your kids are you can't convince me you don't have some bizarre beef with Stitt. I find it weird, that someone could have such resentment towards a guy who's coached exactly 11 games. I mean, you honestly haven't even given the guy half a chance in this program. But whatever, you, as an American you have the right to dislike anyone you wish.

I don't read 75's comments as resentment toward Stitt at all. While I haven't been looking closely, I see his posts as more defense of fairly narrow points.

I've said repeatedly I like Stitt, and look forward to what he might be able to do. However, I also hold his comments and strategy to the fire. I'm not the average Wombat fan that means every win is the beginning of the Second Coming and every loss is a Fire Ash! moment.

I'm an investor. Every weak performance doesn't signal failure, but every victory doesn't signal genius either. It takes more. Reasons, being among them.

Wombats outscored UM 21-17 in the Second Half. I am simply pointing out that the "4th Q Strategy" was not the useful play strategy in this game. Good football, yes, the "4th Q Strategy," no.

I guess it's a good thing we outscored THEM 37-14 in the first half then.

Well said. The prevailing "reason" being larger sample size. Which I think has been made clear...

Well, it is. It's a good thing they made lots of mistakes, and as I noted in the game thread at the time, we scored on every mistake literally within 45 seconds. The Griz did the best conversion of the other guy's mistakes into points in that half I think I can recall. So, yes, 28 of 37 points were based on the other guy's mistakes. We really did a good job capitalizing on those. Our Defense played a huge role in this game, as with Ash's two decisions to "go for it" on fourth downs. We owe him 14 points. We owe Ty for forcing Ash on those points.

I am just wondering what happened after that.
