I wonder if Kaufmann would consider entering the draft after this season. Guy is ready.

Probably depend on how high he would be projected in the draft. Right now I'll bet it would be a late rounder which might make him consider it.

Rumor is unless he's projected within the top 3 rounds, he'll play next season.

After these playoff games he might be considered a top 3 rounder. Otherwise he will give us all fits for another year. I think EWU is the only team left that can hang with NDSU.

FWIW, I think all 4 semi-finalists offer really unique match-up problems. NDSU with it's great defense, but very mediocre offense...GSU with it's TO rushing attack. SHSU is pretty sound all-around, and of course Eastern with it's aerial attack.

EWU will have to play much better defensively to beat SHSU, IMO. That said, Cal Poly showed that SHSU can be beaten.

The score is what matters, but Poly dominated them for very large portions of the game. Poly just killed themselves with multiple TO's.

The bobcats lost because they had no offensive line certainly not because of a lack of speed.

did you even watch the game?? The biggest glaring difference was the superior team speed SHS had. It was obvious, we commented on it several times during the game.

I would have said that last year against Montana as well. Their speed shows up when they get the defense out of position. In the 2nd half of Montana's game the Griz tightened up their D and shut down SHS and their speed because they played assignment football. I think EWU can do the same thing and EWU's passing game will keep them honest. SHS is very aggressive on D and can over-pursue at times (JJ's TD run last year).

Did Cal Poly have 2 weeks to prepare for SHSU? Tough for defense to stop that offense with only a week prep IMHO.
