Illinois St. vs New Hampshire Game Thread

Coprich touchdown. NH leads 18-13. So quiet you could hear a pin drop.
At least now I-State is making a game of it. And, yeah, the crowd wasn't in it much before, so a score by the opponents just shut them right down.

Totally shocked by this game. I watched both teams last week and had ISU playing NDSU in the title. They looked so solid last week against EWU but not so much this week.

The crowd and stadium are very unimpressive. I hate to say it, and this is not a move up thread, but......FCS, for the most part, is not what it used to be. Carroll has a better stadium and environment.

and, NH's new stadium to be ready in 2016 will hold 11,000 and they hope to host playoff games? $25 mill doesn't seem to buy too much

I must be spoiled because the drawings of the new NH stadium slated for 2016 with a capacity of 11,000 doesn't look too impressive to me.

Reminds me of some High School stadiums I've seen in Texas

Good for them. I hope that translates into fan support as well. I always feel bad for our guys when they play in those environments after playing at Wa-Griz. And then we wonder why they can't get fired up to start a game. I love FCS but playing in front of crowds that look like NAIA really makes me wonder if we are playing peer schools.

"Makes me wonder if we are playing peer school." Me too. They're playing; we're not. Maybe we ought to move down.

Nothing to do with the caliber of the teams. But that is another discussion.

ISU gets the ball after stopping NH on 4th ad 3. Ball on about the ISU 46 or 47. Great stoppage!!
ISU can burn some clock, and probably run NH out of time-outs. A TD puts it away, of course.

ISU may give them the better game but if either of these teams show up to the natty playing this way they'll get smoked by NDSU.
