Transition basketball, or zone defense at it's best...........Watch Syracuse this year......DAMN they are impressive. Almost too impressive, and one would think they are peaking too soon.

I also have liked watching Florida this year, with ball movement, and finding open 3's.

Feel free to add to this list of NCAA teams that do certain aspects of the game, amongst the best in the nation.

I would like to see us get more basketball talk here, and maybe even get some more posters educated on college basketball. Then again, I would not want to see it turn into too many posters thinking they know whatever, and don't, like some football threads. :thumb:

I love watching Butler play, but have fallen off a little this year. They sure have the recipe for smaller mid majors to follow. The few games I seen this year, they were really struggling with offense, and some defensive assignments. The commentators said that was from breaking in new players.

the 'Cuse team would be a handful for some NBA teams after watching them dominate in college ball, when they are on they are quite the physical team on and in all phases of the game

early favorites for final four appearance and a run to the top

Syracuse Duke, and Kansas are all very impressive and similar in their aggressive offense and ability to defend....But, for the rest of the universe, I see St. Mary's coming into its own by playing smarter, not necessarily faster, and not afraid to shoot long. The way they handled Gonzaga was impressive. Another surprise is San Diego State that has brought East Coast bball to the West Coast. It seems coaching and skills are improving every year, while finesse is beginning to be overtaken by fast, big and powerful teams....Like the big schools in the FBS, there is a top tier that few will reach. Not sure if that is good for college athletics. Maybe, that is why student attendance is down in most places. A lot of students simply do not identify with the basketball players, anymore...and that might be good for the UMs and Webers, and Idaho States over the long haul...
