If you can't handle losing or adversity....

Last time I heard, Griz fans were complaining about the lack of competition, now that other teams are beating the Griz the Griz fans start second guessing the players and coaches

You cant have it both ways

Just consider this loss as Murphy's Law, it took the BobCats 16 years to break the streak it took only 14 years for the NAU.

Now it's time to return to the norm, of years of dominance.

Don't forget to add Sacramento State to this list. You cannot beat a team forever and when you think about it, why would you want to. The Big Sky is getting stronger, and a great deal of the credit for that can be directed to Montana.

Fair point. I hate seeing us lose, but it's part of being a fan. And Griz fans certainly have it better than most fans could ever dream of in that regard.

Personally, I think both complaints are ridiculous. Shows the low football/sport IQ of some Griz fans.

That's why we have you PR... to help us separate "complaints" from "spot-on observations". It's one of my few enjoyments as the head of the "Complaint Department"... administering Pop-IQ tests. :thumb:

I can't handle losing, and especially not the way that UM lost yesterday.

And I know that Mick Delaney will not tolerate sloppy play and losing.

I am not giving up hope, but I really hope that they can have effective practice sessions Monday - Thursday and are 100% ready for Eastern Washington on Saturday.

Don't stereotype all the Griz fans based on what a few say. Really? You want to stoop that low?

I was really hoping this ass whopping would have happened last weekend at app st. This griz team has had their come to Jesus moment now. Unfortunately it was at home during homecoming and against an in conference foe.

We will see what these kids are made of now. Imo they are capable of coming together and maturing into a decent team. But the rest of the season may be more of the same. There really have been a unprecedented and unfair amount of distractions and outright hostility directed at um football this year.

I will always cheer for the griz win or lose. I will never cheer for um administration till Engstrom has left.

Well at least we know "Moving up" is a problem. For most of those schools if they go 6 & 5, the fans get absolutley orgasmic and start shopping to plane tickets to the Bowl game....... A fair numbe of ours would be on suicide watch at that point.

I totally agree. In addition to Brint's comments I would like to suggest that we all put our time and money where our mouth is...in other words join your local GSA and volunteer your time for their activities and events or just simply show up at their events and back the team. If there isn't a GSA chapter in your area get to work and start one. The GSA supports all Griz athletic programs by raising funds for scholarship athletes. Volunteering your time for something you believe in isn't work...it's fun. And it pays off in the end. It's rewarding to see young athletes from my area be recruited, get their scholly's and perform on the field. I've been in the GSA for several years now and was rewarded for my efforts by being the guest of the University for the Liberty game. I was invited to sit with the President in his skybox on the 50-yard line and go down on the field to be recognized, as well as a write-up and photo in the game program. All for just helping out the University I love. Get involved and support the Griz. JOIN THE GSA!

Seen a lot of comments after that sac loss last year saying the Griz will go 6-5 at best, not make the playoffs, get owned by WSU and MsU........lol

This year look familiar?

WE ARE MONTANA! It's not just a slogan, its a motto. Something you live your life by. If you can't live it, maybe you would look better in cat gear. True fans know that WE ARE MONTANA is not just for victories, it is for life!

'we are montana'? as in 'we are the fcs version of penn state'? where the hell did that come from, and when will it go back? one of the things i've always admired about montanans is the willingness to be individual, unique. leave the schtick to others.

WE Are Marshall,, is decades ahead of We Are Montana,, If we are to be something, lets be original, not glean from others.

My favorite is Oregon Ducks "Win The Day". It really is something you can base your life on with a very useful mindful aspect. Never looking to far ahead or behind as that only serves as a distraction. You can only control what's in front of you today. Win the day at practice, in the gym, at home etc. WIN THE DAY and in time success and championships will come.

We are Montana is neat but like others have said it's not original and in my opinion doesn't offer a powerful enough motovational message.
