If Vigen & his coaching staff were at Montana...

So it's only all those cat fans posting here on eGRIZ who support the win-at-all-cost philosophy? No one on bcn?

Who is supporting win at all cost philosophy? I haven't read any posts like that.

Huh. I'm beginning to see where the disconnect may be.

Looks similar to the thread on BN. I'm included in the group that thought he should have received a harsher punishment.

The fact of the matter is, the punishment was very similar to the punishment that WMG received.

Not sure what more to tell you.....
Huh? How are these similar?:

-Not going to be with the team for a while so he can figure shit out.

versus

-One game. Can still practice. Served his one game. Suspension over.

You're a smart guy. You know there is no precedent for MSU's current situation, and that the world is a much different place than it was before current HS freshmen were even born.

The world might be a different place, are the University System HR policies different?

If not, I guess UM violated it 15 years ago if MSU is currently doing all that is allowed.

Is "a while" longer than 2 weeks?

What if's..can go so many ways. What if Brian Kelly would have actually become the Griz coach? What if Justin Herbert would have signed with Cats instead of Oregon? What if Bo Jackson's hip would have held up? What if Blazers would have drafted Jordan? In all the "what if's" in sports the "what if" Vigen was coaching the Griz is the lamest "what if" of all time.

Do you know? Serious question. Was it longer than 4-ish hours?

I don't know....everything I've seen said something along the lines of "the um athletic department was unavailable for comment"

Could have been 2 months, could have been 2 days. I have no idea.

I have not read this whole thing. My what if Jeff Choate had not built their program to where it is before.

Thanks. Seems like we can't define the duration of that suspension. It was ind-, indef-, it's on the tip of my tongue.

What? (paraphrasing):

"He's not going to be with us for a while until we learn the facts."
=/=
"We don't know the facts, so he's going to be with us until we do, minus ~4hrs."

I know you want him gone, but you have blind trust in the administration to do the right thing.
I actually don't care if he gets fired, and I hope he turns it around for his own sake. But I think the administration bungled this one. Simple disagreement.

I agree, have not seen a post supporting win at all costs on BN or on here by any Cat fan.

Hey now, leave em be and let em have their fun. It's all they have to glom onto now that MSU is heading to the semis while their .500 club is sitting home. Plus, anyone with half a brain knows that the university has specific rules with how to handle any legal issues. You cannot fire a coach or even suspend with pay until the facts are verified and there is a legal ruling. Too may lawsuits these days, and if these charges end up being bogus.... and Garza was wronged by his employer, boom. Most of them know this, but again - they're looking to stir the pot and have some fun! PR will probably back me up on this.

Oh, and trust me - Garza is gone after the season or shortly thereafter unless there is a ruling showing he is innocent.

Bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit.

Tell me you don't actually believe this. You're telling me that there is nothing, NOTHING, an MSU assistant coach could be arrested for that could warrant termination or an indefinite suspension until the legal process is worked out? Nothing?
