Walking into the Student Union Building, there is a sign on the glass doors, "No skateboards, No rollerboards, No Grizzlies" or something like that. Laugh every time I see it. But root for the cats, never! You probably can't understand the traditional Montana attitude regarding speed limits, drinking and driving, and guns, either. You can always go back to California, valley girl.

Not intending to be smack either but the Cats have played an incredibly soft schedule this season - reminds me of the 2007 Griz schedule. If they host a team that has an offense that they're marginally unprepared for (like the Griz were against Wofford) they could duck out early.

If you look at their OOC they played a D2 school, Drake, and SFA. Drake a mid-major is 7-3 and SFA has only won 4 games this year.

If you look at who they've played in conference they've only played 1 of the other top 3 teams (EWU) and lost to them. The combined in-conference record of the teams MSU has beat is 26-30 (and win or lose against the Griz it'll go +/- 1 game in either direction).

They're highly talented and bringing teams up to the cold in a presumably rowdy stadium will help, I don't expect them to bow out early - but I also wouldn't be totally shocked by it.

Soft schedule? Griz fans talking about soft schedule? Of the teams you have beat this year what is their total win-loss record (15-37)? MSU is #2 in the GPI. Chadron's only losses are to MSU and #1 DIV II team in nation this year. Drake would beat UM and so would SFA (another 600 yards on your secondary ).

But if you could win some of those game then you would be going to the playoffs rather than them, If MSU had lost to SUU and SAC then we probably would be looking at staying home and watching one of them going to the playoffs. Your schedule is what you make of it.

Actually, Brint - only the App State game was respectable.

Liberty and South Dakota aren't anything to boast about. SFA is better than both those teams. Drake/Chadron are on the same level as Liberty/SD - maybe slightly lower (GPI of 67 vs GPI of 60).

The Cat SOS was 28th this year. Far from soft. I know the point you are trying to make, and yes - MSU's schedule didn't have the really tough games besides EWU. But 9 out of 11 of the MSU opponents were very respectable teams. To win all of these games on a week to week basis is pretty impressive.

if they lose this week that could bode terribly for MSU. i could see the committee placing them in the same side of the bracket.
