IF Stitt were to be hired.....

Would he act as the offensive coordinator? In an article he states he would move up to FCS as an offensive coordinator if he were given complete control of the offense. Seems like this guy wants full control of the offense. Do we currently have the players to execute his offense or are we going to go into Plugrad mode and see results in year 2? Will he keep Tye and the defensive side of the ball? Better keep Green or I'll be  Just curious what people think the coaching staff and assistants might look like under a Stitt coached team.

Yes, I believe he would have to be the OC. It looks to me as though the QB calls the plays based on what the defense is presenting. I think Gregorak and Green would be retained. I think the game would be too much fun to be concerned with what the coaches look like! 8-)

This is a message board on the internet...what else would we talk about?

Ty, Green, Legi, and one other coach staying is what I have heard, but we obviously know what that is worth.

If he's the guy I would wonder if he would have an OC similar to how Pflu had Smith. A younger protege type coach who could probably also be a QB coach. Stitt would run the offense, call the plays, etc - and lean on his OC to be an extension of him for coordinating, implementing, and organizing the offense - as well as helping the QBs in daily practice.

Kfense could be a good option. When you talk to reporters and athletic department peeps they rave about what a sharp guy he is.

Is it possible that we only hire Stitt as a coordinator? I possibly would like to get him as the OC and BH as the HC. Why can't we have the best of both worlds? Would money be the biggest issue there?

THIS!!! ^ :thumb:

In his first year as an OC at Harvard, they set single game records for total yards (over 600), passing yards (over 400) first downs (34) and points (62). The man gets his offenses to produce to their max potential...he'll do the same for the Griz. Just imagine what kind of year the Griz could have had this year with Stitt running the O and Gregorak running the D.

Stitt isn't coming to UM as the OC...he has turned down Pac12 OC jobs. Head coach or nothing.

I'm amazed how many people refuse to acknowledge or research how nationally respected Bob Stitt is.

He's not going to leave his gig to take an OC position.

And that's what worries me about this guy. He'd rather stay with Colorado who ever they are than take a great job with a great program. Screw him. Stay in Colorado!! We don't need bullstitt like that up here anyways.

You're so lost that I'm done responding to you. I'm guessing you're 13 or maybe 15 yrs old. We're done here.

I agree & see Kfense as THAT guy under Stitt! He has experience with the "fly-sweep" concept during his time at Willamette & WWU. We saw a small sample at NDSU right & again with Trayvon late in the season if I remember right. Stitt has a offensive scheme that I believe fits our offensive personnel very well!

If it IS Stitt, I see the staff pretty much staying in tack with the core three D coaches being retained. Both special team guys should be replaced that co-special teams coordinator is far worse than the perceive issues with co-OC's.

Unfortunately, I think that also could mean that WR coach Torrey Myers may be on the outside looking in. The video I have seen of Stitt gives me the impression that he would coach WRs or QBs. Leaving his OC to coach the complimentary group of skilled position players based upon the head coaches decision.

The next few days should prove very interesting. I see four (4) candidates under consideration. All whom have been told the conditions they would have to two of which (Hauck & Stitt) I believe have been told what THE offer is from Haslam. It appears that Pease will go through his paces over the next 48hrs. Unless I am mistaken this would make Ty Gregorak the safety net or fall back plan if all else fails.

BTW - ALL ARE ASSUMPTIONS ON MY PART
8-)
