If not Sttit than who? (Stitt merge)

"I feel horrible for our players," Montana head coach Bob Stitt said after the loss. "As a coach you feel like a parent and you want to help them, and when it doesn’t go their way, it’s heart-wrenching that you can’t help them be successful when they’re giving you everything they’ve got."

This statement, taken from today's paper really ticks me off, yes coach, you COULD have helped them be successful !!! Field goals win games !!!

Pretty certain he said that was on him.

His offense will set records they said. His magic formula of 90 plays wears teams out he says. His offense doesn't need a Tight end or a fullback he says.

All Bullshit and you guys ATE IT UP.

As I predicted, it is your own defense that is wearing out in games. You're having a greater prevalence of injuries. And you can't get out of your own way in the redzone. You have to be close to the bottom in redzone efficiency. Why? Because you can't run the ball. To compound that, the field is compressed down there and the spread passing attack doesn't work as well as it does between the 20's. And then, he elects for no points.

Yes, the man is a genius.... In a way that only Earle the Pearl could understand.

Please keep him for at least 5 seasons. He'll do enough damage you won't recover for a decade.
And you still have Ron Ash

He looks pretty good right now doesn't he?
That not what BN was saying a week ago

And let me guess, Ash also only needs a few more years, the Cats are on the cusp and soon they will embark on a twenty year winning streak over the Griz plus seven national championships in a row amirite?

Why, I should just give up being a Griz fan and tell my kid to enroll at MSU with your logic.

*Stitt, *then

This coming from a guy who brings kids into arguments on an Internet website. You should have stayed true to your form and insulted minor children in this post. Scummy.

If Stitt keeps making Stitty calls, it might happen.

But you should tell your kids to enroll at MSU so they can be employable, not because of anything the football teams do.

UM Grad, already have a job.

I get it's not as exciting as finding some bacteria in Antarctica.

I think a lot of eGrizzers need to not post on eGriz for 24 hours after a loss to let their jets cool.
What do people expect? It's going to take a season before we start seeing positive results. Stitt will be fine.

Should'nt there be a disclosure on the season tickets, "Don't Expect To Much for ? Years "

He wasn't that Stallar at School of Mines.

Ron Richards, should email Haslam, and mention, " you hired Stitt and you could of had me."

Much of what you said is not accurate.

UM has given up 17 points in the 4th quarter so far this season (6 games). That's less than an average of 3 points. Weber got 120 yards and no points in the second half yesterday, on 43 plays--and had 15 yards on 5 plays in the OT. That's less than 3 yards per play. That doesn't seem to support your view that UM's defense is wearing out in games. I'm sure they get tired later in the game, but not wearing out.

UM has won 3 of 4 games when they've run 89 or more plays. Lost only to CP when play count was high. In the other 2 losses, UM had only 67 and 72 plays.

UM has lost 2 qb's, and lost the center the first week of practice, but UM is actually not having alot of injuries. I believe all starters, except the qb, started yesterday. Going into yesterday's game, I think the defense had everyone, except may Peevy, and the offense had everyone except the qb and 2 back-up running backs (excluding Weyer).

But don't let facts get in the way of your opinions.

Yes, red zone scoring has been bad.

Spsyk must be a relative of Hauck....still a little bitter....

Not bitter, concern for a program, Hauck got the job done, without excuses, and if he had a OC better than Phenocie,he might of had NC and a better offer than UNLV..

Just an opinion, other than the facts, Hauck done the jobs with the athletes he was given.

The NDSU win may have turned out as the worst thing that could have happened. There was a sudden surge of elation not only with fans but the coach. Facts: every team starts the year with strengths and weaknesses. Coaches scheme to play those off. We are not seeing that right now. Coaches evaluate talent and scheme based on talent. Coaches who try to utilize talent not fit for a scheme fail. If line is weak you get them help. With Jones Roberts and Henderson, we can afford a tight end or an extra back to block. The defense has played well enough to keep us in games. If things don't change its not hard to visualize a divided locker room.
Questions: was Stitt not ready for the jump. Is the move in weight training and conditioning paying off for the o-line. At what point do players start questioning coaching decisions? Do the holdover-coaches start chirping about the new coaches? Was Stitt ever mentored by Chip Kelly? Are the fans who wanted coaches with wide open offense still not caring about wins as long as they are entertained? If the coach remains stubborn it's going to be entertaining as watching a train wreck.

#letStittHappen. I'm still on board. Not completely comfortable with some decisions but I still think we made a good hire. I won't get too worried just yet.

Are we full scholarship allotment this cycle? I really think we could use a nice drop down lineman on both sides of the ball. Recruit some guys, and get depth in those areas. In all honesty, how many times have we seen/heard "man if QB1/2/3 had a second more, so and so was open deep". That's o-line. If we start there, he has plenty of weapons to use for his offense. He's never had guys this good before. He doesn't need time to get "his guys" here. He more than has them. QB maybe...otherwise our problem stems from our lines. Yes, even the d line because of depth overall. The term DOLA is stupid. How about FGTJD instead. Fix the line and the offense will work at this level. Running and passing improves, red zone improves, winning improves.

I agree o-line is a mess but there are starts from last year for most of these guys. No better than last year and arguably worse.

I keep hearing the same lamentable refrain about O line, injuries, this , that, and whatever.... Well, we were at the door of winning in two and possibly three games (I did not see Liberty) despite all of that. We could have walked through the door in two games for sure with a quality coach who makes Football decisions instead of feeding his own ego. If that does not change, the above blogs will play out and this site will have to shut down because of all the anger that will come forth. You can bet that other coaches around the league (and at NDSU) are chuckling about the "dumb" decisions of the Montana staff. Yikes.
