No, they didn't play that great, they scored instantly after good field position and scored on a gift pick 6. Good is coming out and dominating on both sides of the ball with no room for interpretation.

Not sure what you mean. They went from 44-0 last week to 24 points this week. They took out our QB, made huge holes to run through, had a terrific RB, and a QB that knew what he was doing. Their secondary looked all-world at times and they capitalized on our mistakes. You win however you can.

Good post CC. I don't really get dupuyer's point. To come into Wa/Griz after getting pounded 44-0 and run the ball down the Griz D's throat is saying something..... Gotta give credit where credit is due...

That being said, it seems that a lot of the time, and not just this year, the team doesn't look like they show up intending to tear someone's throat out.
IMO, it's been that way since 2011. We can get up for the Brawl, but the fire hasn't been there for a while outside of that.

Yeah, I don't want to put this on the D - because I do believe that it's on Stitt b/c of not taking the FG's - but I felt in the first half that if the D was just playing with more fire, we'd have put Weber out of it early. It was like the D had bought into the "Weber is a patsy" line of thinking. Well, someone forgot to tell their QB, RB, and O-line that they are patsies. Oh, and we mabye looked past the fact that they came in with 2 conf. wins and played Oregon State tough into the 4th quarter

I think a lot of eGrizzers need to not post on eGriz for 24 hours after a loss to let their jets cool.
What do people expect? It's going to take a season before we start seeing positive results. Stitt will be fine.

So I guess Holmes, critt, KVA, Kose, Schmaing,Gamboa, lebsock, Jones,Roberts, Harris, Whitted, Wilson are schmucks and next year they will be easily replaced. This team has a ton of seniors playing ahead of guys who will magically improve.....drink some more Kool aid. He has more talent now than he will next year. Better be ready for 3 years of mediocrity
We lose seniors every year because that's how college football works. Know who else loses seniors that are talented? Everyone else in the country.

Your making it sound like Stitt is completely sperate from the defense, has nothing to do with the offensive linemen. He is the head coach and his team is going downhill fast.

That's what Colorado School of Mines fans kept saying year after year after year. ;)

Stitt brought CO School of Mines a couple of conference titles - something they hadn't seen in more than 40 years before he took over.

Keep in kind CSM is a primarily academic school and has very high admission standards, hence limited chances to build a competitive program.

Fact.

That's what I have been saying all along. He is a 60% win percentage kind of guy.

Very respectable winning record , but only 3 conference titles and 3 playoff appearances in 15 years. Sorry, but that won't cut it at the level. Say all you want, but it's about winning National Championships regardless what level. Good coach, but I don't see many championships coming anytime soon. So say what you will, but every year we will be saying "Wait till next year."

Why did Stitt kick a field goal in the NDSUcks game in the 4th quarter & not today? He blew the game, plain & simple. He is a gunslinger & I like that, but he needs to be smarter. 3rd string QB making the big play instead of taking 3 points off the board TWICE doesn't make sense. Sullivan has the leg. He hit the post on the 55 yard attempt at the end of the 2nd 1/4. Instead of having 20 receivers on the team, maybe he should concentrate more on the OL & the FG kicker.

I've gone down this path with others last spring. Stitt was coaching at a school where every major requires Calculus, and they hadn't won a conf. title since 1958. :o The man is cited by the head coaches of Cal, Texas A&M, and West Virginia as being an offensive guru. The Minnesota Vikings visited Missoula to pick his brain last spring. Has he lit up yet? Nope. Is he on his 3rd QB? Yep. Does he deserve more time. Definitely.

I absolutely agree with all of this, and I hope that Stitt, in retrospect, does too...

Delaney did make a comment somewhat like this " at this point 2 tightends and a fullback might be better than 4 receivers.

I think he was saying you need a big personnel group in the red zone, and I agree. I'm sure Stitt is still tweaking his jumbo package, utilizing Jamal Wilson and others.

Honestly there is no excuse, no rationalizing what we saw today. Stitt is convinced he is right and if it takes a 0-11 season he doesn't care, he is right. This is the 6th straight Griz season in the toilet - I know 2011 but guess what, that doesn't count. 6 seasons of shit. 6 seasons of hope we come to play. 6 seasons without a conference title. 6 seasons of garbage. Patience is worn out. Remember when the Griz used to win most games at home? That doesn't matter anymore because the point is to get our offense tha ball for another 3 and out, and run 90 + plays, not to win the game.

This is how the Griz were in the '70's. I have seen this shit show before. I'm tired of defending it. There is no excuse, no rationalization, no way to paper over this horrendous historic loss. No matter what Stitt may achieve in his time here this was his defining game - branding the Griz as an afterthought because of his stubbornness or stupidity.

How many times was it used today? I must have missed it
