Very cool seeing McKinney doing well! The previous game he had nearly 100 yards rushing and over 300 yards passing. That last game though...wow... 206 yards rushing with 4 TDs and 297 passing & 2tds for a GNAC record 503 total yards in a game along with 6tds. That's damn impressive!

I often wonder how he would have done in Pflu's system that fit his talents better than whatever it was we tried to do in 2012. He got a raw deal that he got stuck in the middle of a coaching and system change like he did. Hope he continues to kick ass and impress at South Dakota School of Mines

Agree completely, I always thought they should have kept Trent around as a "change of pace" QB, give him 5-10 snaps a game to keep the defense on their toes, but then I have crazy ideas like our FB should get a crumb carry every now and then to keep the d honest. Of course "I never played the game"

Of course "I never played the game"

"They" didn't decide to not keep Trent around. Trent moved on when it became apparent he wasn't going to play QB.

I do not agree, and will stick up for the coaches on this one. McKinney was much like Kemp, only not as good. There was no way he was ever going to more than a 3rd or 4th string QB for UM.
