Idaho to BSC?

So if the Vandals are independent can they choose to play an OOC game at an FCS school. If so they would be wise to get something going with the Griz for sure. We all know many a Griz fan would travel to Moscow for the game and I bet a good many Vandal would come to Missoula if a home and away deal was agreed on. Maybe in 2013 Vadals come to Misoula and in 2014 we go to Moscow. That seems like it would work for the Vandals if they get picked up by an FBS conf which ain't gonna happen.

Speaking of independent teams. I sure wish all the service acadamies where independent and could play at an FCS school. Could you imagine Army at App State or Navy at Montana, Airfoce at Georgia Southern. Those would be some kick ass events.
 
Some of us "idiots" on this board who predicted the fall of the WAC and Idaho dropping back down, are currently sitting at our keyboards with "Told you stupid Asses So" looks on our faces. This was waaa-aaay too easy of a prediction. Idaho might still be a FBS Independent in football, but they'll be a 1-10 or 2-9 bodybag game for the next 2-3 years and their recruiting will go to hell. They'll soon realize the Northwest only has so much room for big boys... and Moscow is NOT a big enough magnet or market to make the Vandals anything more than a homecoming blowout game for the rest of the nation. Come all the way home spud buds. We could use the rivalry here at WaGriz.
 
Haha, oh Idaho. Great schedule next year. I feel bad for Spear, he's trying to polish a turd but nobody wants anything to do with them. This HAS to be motivated by money, because playing New Mexico State twice next season is just an embarassment. What is this, the Frontier Conference?

I am off the opinion that it will be just a matter of time before the make the "football" announcement as well. Idaho MUST be in a conference for their football program to grow & work. Expect coaching changes there as well. I dont see Akey staying during this transition!

Vandals were a tough BSC opponent back in the 80's under Erickson. Its inevitable that they play football in the conference, too. Fiscally it makes the most sense as well. WOW the BSC is the SEC of FCS! (Dont fool yourself people this is some damn competitive Division i-AA football (too many initials) :thumb:

What the Heck... they get Old Dominion to fly all the way to Moscow on Nov. 9th, when the Monarchs could have stopped in Missoula and played in front of 20,000 more fans in what could possibly be a matchup of Top-10 FCS teams. Odd to say the least!
