Change in Football Leadership Announced
POCATELLO, Idaho - Rob Phenicie will not return as Idaho State University's Head Football Coach, Athletic Director Pauline Thiros announced Saturday morning. Phenicie, on contract until January of 2023, will be reassigned to other duties for the duration of his contract or until he departs the University. He will take a short leave prior to his reassignment. The change was announced to the team prior to Saturday's game vs. the University of Idaho.

Maybe, just maybe, ISU will face reality and pull the plug on DI football. 1-6 conference, 1-9 overall. Even Idaho is using them as their bitch. :roll: But, the ISJ has a different take:

Just as a follow-up, Coach Phen was informed the Tuesday before the Idaho game that he was not being retained. The school allowed him to decide when he would tell the players and wait until after to go public. He waited until the team meeting before the game, and the announcement by ISU came right after that.
