I am fine with that. You have been here four months and arrived after the football season, didn't you? Anyone who has tried to have a reasonable debate with you has come away feeling like you can't hold a logical conversation, so I'm cool with you feeling I am insufferable. It's mutual, man.

And yea. I'm super optimistic, in all aspects of life mostly. I'd rather be that and disappointed rather than cynical and negative, and be proven right.

It's been since 2001 since the u.of.monrana has won a national championship at the fcs-1AA.

I think it's totally fair that after 22-23 years of NOT winning it, if some of the fan base is objective, reasonable and sometimes critical of the teams, and coaches It's their right to support their program anyway they want to, and not up to you to decide how they should support the program

A very good friend of mine and former griz from fairview montana told me about this board and that he occasionally posts stuff.. and he suggested to me i should join up.

To be one of those 9 schools over the past 45 years has given me immense pride and pleasure, just like last year's run to the title game did. Just 23 total winners over that span, with countless comings and goings into and out of FCS (15 departures, 93 arrivals since 1978). Two additional arrivals (UT-RGV & St. Thomas) will be added as full members in '25 and '26, making 131 FCS schools--146 total schools in or passing through since 1978

74/92 NC game appearances (80.4%) filled by just 18 schools, or just over 12% of the schools. 7 one-and-done schools, who've won on their only appearance, leaving 11 schools who've been once and lost.
So as it stands right now, if you're not named SDSU, NDSU, UM, EWU, MSU, Furman or UD you're probably not getting to the NC game.

Notably, only ONE school has been to the NC game multiple times and yet is still without a victory. That school is Clif McDowell's new school. lol
