Idaho Has New Coach

not sure what kinda HC he'll make, but his last name alone will bring recruits/interest to Idaho. A roll of the dice, but as an indy what does Idaho have to lose.

Yeah, they have nothing to lose, literally. When you are swimming in the cesspool doesn't really matter what coach you swim with.
 
a month ago, yes, they're program was (and still is) in the abyss. but all it'll take is one or 2 teams to leave the MW and they'll have no choice but to invite Idaho just to stay afloat (that is unless any FBC teams are ready to make the jump)
never say never. This time next month the Vandals could be a MW team (or even C-USA)

Last night on the late night sports radio show, John Fricke commented rumors of Sandiego State being considered for the PAC 12, when they go to 16 teams. That is dependent upon which Texas teams they can bring in.

MWC will pick up Texas/Louisiana Based Sunbelt schools, where MWC teams actually recruit, before Idaho is invited.
 
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right little Petrino? Wonder how long he'll stay before he jumps ship or they fire him at Black Hole and Gold U. Their fans have been 'Vandalized' for the past 17 years.
 
The Vandals will be playing the BSC by 2015. They will find out over the next couple years that an D-I independent has little to choose from scheduling wise. One of the many benefits to being in a conference.
Hope they enjoy the cache of dough that they pick up playing patsy to other more prominent programs. I for one will welcome them back to the BSC with open arms. Man, what a conference the BSC has grown into.
 
Kemajic must love this hire. It will turn things around for Idaho and whatever FBS conference the Griz get to join them in! Yay!
 
It doesn't matter who they hire or anything else. As long as they are trying to do not only the FBS thing, but the independent FBS thing they are screwed. Imagine the sales pitch "due to the fact that we cannot fill our schedule, we will be playing certain teams twice in one season starting next year. That way if we get our asses kicked by them at their place, we can try to not lose by quite as much at our place a few weeks later". Scheduling a team twice in one season has to be the biggest sign that you need to fold up the program and put your money into weight watchers plans for your student section!

Yep, two of thirteen teams can draw in excess of 10,000 pre game. Lots of 4000 crowds so you don't have to worry about the noise.
