There will be more than 500 Griz fans in the stands and they will make more noise than the Vandal faithful (because they'll have more to cheer for!)

I had a friend that was going to U of I in 2002. He said the loudest he ever heard the kibby dome was when they where playing Montana. And it wasn't because the Vandal fans.

Honestly, the only thing I like about dropping down is that we play the Griz. I've always liked the fans and the game is usually interesting. I just talk shit because it's fun.

MISSOULA - On the eve of his Montana Grizzlies' game with Idaho, coach Bobby Hauck deflected rumors about springing an option offense on the Vandals, saying, "We don't have any expertise in that area."
On Saturday, the Grizzlies expertly ran the option to the tune of 211 rushing yards in the first half, setting the tone for a 41-28 win over Idaho.
Helena Capital product Kyle Samson made his first appearance for Montana, guiding a Grizzly veer option that befuddled Idaho for a time. Fellow freshman Justin Hartman took half the snaps while Montana ran its spread offense, and completed seven of 12 passes for 92 yards.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies rushed for 344, including 122 by Justin Green.
"I lied," said Hauck, smiling. "I don't know. We're obviously not going to give our game plan out. You've got to do what you have to do to win the game."...
