Let's not encourage this throwing contest.
We don't need the crowd getting 15 yard penalties.
We don't need anyone getting hurt and I doubt that anyone has the accuracy of their arms to be trying in the first place.
Please leave the taters in the pantry and stick to eating tots for pregame.

Fully agree.

As someone who may have thrown spuds onto the football field in the past, I’d encourage you to listen to this advice.

I’m reformed now. Don’t do it and then spend the next several decades regretting your renegade past always looking over your shoulder to see if “the man” is onto you. Though going to confession and seeking therapy can help. Plus throwing mashed potatoes onto the field will cause quite a mess. The University will just add on a “clean up” fee for future Vandals games. Costs are high enough already. Though if you do bring potatoes, mashed or not, be sure and have them in your clear sided bag so you don’t hold up the line at the entrances. That way security can wave you through rather than feeling a lump in your pocket and stopping you thinking you’re sneaking Fireball into the game.
Go Griz - Idaho sucks.

Guys, why would you throw a potato at anyone from Idaho? Potatoes are sort of our thing. You're basically just giving us ammo. Shiiiiiiit, my grandmother could rifle a potato back at you with dangerous velocity and accuracy.
The fact that you're out numbered ☹️ and that the possibility exists  should be more than enough to make you wary.

Don't be so quick to doubt my potato throwing ability

"Idaho is a massive seed potato producer in its own right and is the nation's leading state for certified seed potato acreage.

Here is a breakdown of the sources:
  • Idaho's Primary Source: Most of the seed potatoes planted in Idaho are grown by certified seed potato growers within Idaho itself. The largest concentration of seed potato production in the state is in Eastern Idaho, often in high-altitude, isolated areas like the Ashton region, which is ideal for minimizing disease.
    • In 2021, for example, Idaho led all states with nearly 31,000 acres of certified seed potato production.
  • Montana's Role: Montana is a significant certified seed potato producer as well, often ranking among the top states (it was third in 2021 with nearly 11,000 acres). Idaho farmers do source certified seed from other states, including Montana, to maintain genetic diversity and disease-free stock, but the bulk of the planting stock comes from within Idaho's own certified farms." Gemini AI.

If Idaho insists on the saying "Famous Potatoes" on their license plates, they need to up their game. I mean, really? That's what you got? "Big Sky Country"...now that's for real guys!

Tater tots are for hot dishes

Idaho resident here. You can find most UI grads posting on broncofans.net

Most join the BSU bandwagon.

Not a lot of vandal pride. Most UI grads admit they blue themselves.
Idaho GRADUATE here (Navy ROTC)—not by choice. Born and raised in Missoula. Attended UM for a year before joining the Navy. I hated them before I went there, I REALLY hated them while I attended there, and I hate them more every year.

And the last 3 minutes of that game showed you exactly why as they showed their true colors. Chippy and mouthy while down 3 scores, then a bullshit last TD as time expired to make themselves feel better and make it look closer than it actually was (which it wasn’t). I was sooooo hoping Bobby would come out in Victory Formation and fake a kneel down and then throw a bomb for a TD in that last 18 seconds.

Go Griz, and fuck I-da-hoe.

I would agree that at the end it got worse, but they were doing a lot to our guys all game I thought and for the most part we didn't fall for their tactics, which I think reflects on the coaching state there too that they don't put a stop to it.
In the first quarter, for example, Woods ran into one of our oline men and put up a poor acting job, two steps past our guy, he flailed his arms up in the air and happened to bump into another Griz and that is the only reason he collected himself.
I had said after the UND game I was getting tired of seeing 15 yard penalties by us and I was really proud of the team over all for not responding to just crap that was going on all game long. The fact that Udaho only had 3 penalties enforced the whole game speaks to me as the lack of control the officials had in this game.

Incidentally, did anyone see the actual hit by Wing that drew the Targeting call. TV and radio didn't even know what the officials were looking at and Riley said coming out of the break from the quarter that they were looking to see if the ball was snapped before the quarter had ended.

Vandals sure did a lot of finger pointing, coaches and players. The kick in the nuts was deserved, the Griz lineman got blindsided and there were 5 Vandals around him. #4 put up a good act, but was in the very next play. The second time they helped him off he didn’t return.

I got really tired of the fact that every big play we had, especially when we were in tempo, they had someone go down with an injury and then right back in there after one play. I was very happy that the officials charged them a time out, but they could have done that on another play or two as well. We could see these guys further down the road again, but I feel fairly confident that if it is a third Montana/Idaho playoff meeting, we aren't going to be in a situation to win the game in Missoula and get shipped to Red Square for the rematch.
