I'd like to apologize to PSU...

In my favorite paper, the Record (which used to be the Stockton Record, but dropped the city name when they went "regional" and is really only my favorite because they have my favorite sportswriter, the immortal Lori Gilbert), an idiot hack I've been campaigning to get canned for the last several years just reported on the Murrell hire at Portland State. The ignoramus apparently didn't do any research and called PSU D-II. That's a smack on the entire conference; given the relative proximity of Sac, the dumb-@$$ should have known better.

Again, on behalf of fans in Superior California, I apologize.

On behalf of Portland State fans, teams, and administration, I graciously accept your apology to PSU here on the UM board.

SH....that shouldn't come as a suprise as many people think that the Big Sky Conference teams are Division 2.

Puh-leeze, Spanky, despite your endless efforts to the contrary, this is not a move-up thread... :naughty:

Your implication says it all ... We all know where you stand, and you will take any jab at the Big Sky that you can. I'm not saying that the Big Sky is the greatest FCS conference (it's not!), but it is where UM belongs at this point in its history.

68....we all know where you stand as well. Keep everything the same....correct? Your view of our schedule this year?

Oh, as I've posted several times before: I am NOT happy with the Ft. Lewis game at all ... I dislike playing down as much as I dislike playing up. And, while I'm not thrilled with the Albany and Southern Utah (I'd rather have the likes of McNeese or Northern Iowa) games, they're okay; both are FCS schools, so are legitimate foes. I would love to have home and away games with McNeese, Northern Iowa, Delaware, App. State, etc. -- but this athletic dept. always kowtows to the local business community, which wants only home games, so....

Heh, funny, '68 said to not make this a move up thread though unwittingly caused that himself. Also turned a B-Ball thread into a football thread! Nice!
