I Will Say IT.....

Wait until UND beats NDSU in their first game after renewing the rivalry.

1.) I will bet my car, house, savings and retirement that will not happen.
2.) UND did not look good last Saturday. They completed 2, yes 2, passes the entire game, only had 5 first downs and managed like 150 yards of offense.

I've made (and lost) some dumb bets in my life, but I think #1 above is a pretty safe one regarding UND and NDSU. And as for the gist of this thread, well, suffice it to say I will be absolutely shocked if MSU doesn't win by at least 10 points against UND.

I wouldn't.....upsets can and do happen, whether it be Indiana High School basketball state championships, Miracle on Ice or the Miracle Mets.

Very true. I once coached a rag-tag Minneapolis peewee hockey team to victory against the highly-touted Hawks after I won the gold jacket by sinking an impossible putt through a collapsed TV tower in my first year on tour. That summer almost made me forget about the time I worked as a janitor at MIT and solved an impossible math problem on the chalk board one night. It's not my fault.

One of the biggest sports upsets of all time
Larry Owings defeating Dan Gable in the 1970 NCAA Wrestling Finals, his last match, and only loss in his college career. Gable went on to win an Olympic Gold without surrendering one point.

All of that is impressive, but not nearly as impressive as when you were a freshman in high school and crashed a jock party and ended up spending the night in a RR with the prom queen. Unfortunately your geek friends f'd up the pic so there is no proof this actually happened, but still a testament to the power of the underdog.

Northern Colorado walks out of Wa-griz with a 10 point win on Saturday. There, I said it!!!!
If you actually believed that and were willing to put your money where your mouth is, you could become rich. Oh, but you would have to be right.....

MSU is not losing to UND.

EWU is maybe losing 1 game this regular season, that's as soft a conference schedule as you can get, not their fault, it's the hand they've been dealt. UM, NAU, or PSU may be trouble, otherwise it's smooth sailing for EWU.

I agree, state wins easy. Isn't it is too early in the season for the cats to begin their typical crash. I also believe EWU received their wake up call and will not play down to an opponent again.

UND does have a few things going for it. A stout defense, a ball control offense (according to their board, dive left for 1 yard, dive right for 1 yard), and a bad taste in their mouth from the last two games against MSU which were massive blowouts. MSU is coming off an emotional home loss to EWU.

I think it will be closer than many Cat fans think, but I think Cats win at least 28-16, maybe 35-16.

@Sac, @Poly and @UM are all potential losses at this point.

My God, a rational, realistic Cat fan. Thank you, sir!

UND has a new staff that is switching from the 4 wide spread offense to a TE/FB smash mouth running scheme. Not an easy transition for the players.

Sounds familiar.
