...there are definitely some developments with this team that have not broken our way:
--while he's evidently a skilled player, it's obvious now that vandejagt will not contribute as a true freshman;
--far from performing like a jaycee all-american and being the impact player that at least one pre-season pub predicted, gus chase is fighting for a scant few minutes each game;
--a year ago, andrew strait improved dramatically over his freshman year, but it does not appear that swift, sharp or any other players have stepped up like that this year;
--after averaging something like 16 points a game and being a force on the boards during our playoff run last year, jordan hasquet reverted last night to mid-season form last year (two points and no rebounds against utah valley state
--despite the addition of staudacher and the maturity of martin and dhlouy, it does not appear we've equalled the outside dimension that criswell and matthews gave us last year.
on the positive side, i like what i'm seeing of cameron rundles. it appears he's ready to step in as a true freshman and make a big contribution at maybe the most important position on the team.
