I know I am not the only one....

Let’s first bet on who won more playoff games last season. And then bet on who has more current playoff wins in past 2 years. And then we can discuss a further bet.
Case in point for one of the best corporate lawyers in the recent history of Montana:

1) is confronted with being overwhelmed by the Bobcat lines during the game on 11.23, and a Griz fan is reasonably concerned about similarly overwhelming performance by SDSU

2) brings up the shellacking the Griz put on the Cats last year, and asks someone to argue with him about it, despite the fact that it was a beatdown and that the Griz went on a great run to the NC game,

3) insults the original poster or anyone else who dares assert that 2023 isn’t the same as 2024

I am such a bad lawyer that I can never argue against someone who consistently digs into his bag of “what about” tricks to defend his situationally inaccurate, and frankly strange adoration and worship of one Bobby Hauck. In all candor, I don’t want to. The Cats are historically inferior to the Griz. No debating that. The Griz beat the Cats last year. No debating that either. The Cats also beat the Griz this year, and have undoubtedly turned their program around from the darkest days of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The legitimacy of such a turnaround is one that only Hoops seems to question. But, if you operate in the world of a self-described “top corporate lawyer,” apparently these truths are less concrete than they seem, and if you argue with the undisputed facts, you are a “dumb shit,” or a “bad lawyer,” or whatever cute adjective he can describe you with.

Most people don’t like lawyers for understandable reasons. Hoops is the poster child for such well-deserved scorn. Again, with much respect, good luck next weekend, Griz fans.

That is my point. Isn't it kinda disingenuous to say that the DSU teams are way better than the bobcats when you can't even compare a head to head with any teams?
Yes the bobcats lost to both NDSU and SDSU last year. One by a last second field goal and one was an overturned call in the end zone to win the game. I'll ask you this. Do you think MSU is a better team this year than last year? Do you think either DSU teams are better this year than last. Does it really make any logical sense to you that the DSU teams are "much better than MSU" this season? Or are you just sprouting more jealousy from your couch like most griz fans this year?
Here is my prediction for the rest of the playoffs. The griz will probably lose against SDSU but it isn't because SDSU is some mythical creature that cannot be beaten. I think the cats will probably go to the natty. I give them a 50/50 chance to get there and if they do, I would say they have a 50/50 chance to win. This pedestal that everyone has the DSU schools on is almost as silly as your hatred and wishful thinking that the cats suck is.
I try to keep it real for you irrational people but it's not easy.
Man, if only you Cats trolls could read, comprehend, and not be so damn triggered and weird we’d actually be able to talk football with you.

This entire things started with my post….about the Griz vs SDSU….it didn’t involve you or your kitty cats….but your desperate need for validation over here has us to this point.

I stated…try to follow along here I know reading is hard…..that the Griz will lose to SDSU, probably by 24 points or so. I claimed this because we lost to the Cats by a lot and that the SDSU defense is much better than the cats defense. We struggled to put up points against a good cats defense and the SDSU defense is even better.

You have now twisted this into “why does everyone think NDSU and SDSU is a better team than the cats?”

This isn’t about you. It isn’t about your cats as an overall team. You asked why I think the SDSU defense is better than the cats and I gave you my reasons. You didn’t like those facts and threw a hissy fit. I said you should post on your own board then if you aren’t getting the validation you need here.

Yet here you are again making this into something else completely different than what it started. Man those 16 years of beatings have you and a few other trolls here triggered and brain dead. Go post with all your group think buddies on BN then so you can all give each other the validation you crave. Weirdos.

I merely asked you why you thought SDSU was "much better" than the cats because you made the point. You were triggered and gave some stupid illogical reasons. So speaking of group think and weird, you're entitled to your own stupid opinions.

I don’t suppose you are to expand on those viewpoints and perhaps supply a reasoning?

Also and an answer to what your definition of being competitive is would also be appreciated.
It means being in the game. Not just on the field. Why don’t you explain yourself?

I assume no one will read or understand your nonsense. My goal on egriz is not to be liked. It is to support the Griz and irritate and trigger some Cat fans. I am good at both.

Here’s some good reading material for you. Synopsis: their D last year was probably the best in all of FCS history giving up 9.3 ppg. This year in FCS….9.5. Another reason I said sdsu defense is much better than the Cats or anyone else for that matter

I've actually thought this years defense is better than last years for a few weeks, which seems crazy at first. If you take out the Oklahoma State game we would have a very similar schedule to last season (10 FCS & 1 D2) and we've given up 9.5 ppg in those games, last year going into the playoffs we were giving up 11.3 ppg. We played teams that finished the regular season ranked 3rd, T4th, T4th, 16th, & 28th in scoring offense, it's not like we're building up gaudy numbers against a weak schedule. Other teams have good defenses for sure but I think ours has been the best in the country by a pretty fair margin.

If we do falter in the playoffs, it won't be because of the defense. As I alluded to in the scouting report thread, our offense has battled with bouts of inconsistency this season, at times being too dependent on busting big plays for scores. Someone will have to bog down our offense and win a low scoring slugfest, as NDSU was able to do and JSD almost did the following week.

Anyone coming out to Brookings for this game? Looking forward to running into quite a few Griz fans tomorrow night or Saturday at the game.

To add to that the D only gave up 13 points to then #1 NDSU and ultimately only 10 (7 in regulation) to #4 JSD. the other 7 points was a scoop and score fumble return.

I agree with MinnesotaJack, if the Jacks fall it will likely be due to a stagnant/mistake filled offense.

Griz are going to win
Sure, it's possible, if; the O and D play their absolute best game of the year and play mistake free. And, the wabbits turn the ball over several times. And, we catch a few big breaks at key times in the game. And, every Griz player keeps a lucky wabbits foot under their pads.

I'll be cheering on our boys and praying for a miracle.

Go Griz!!!!!
