I just got back from Laramie!

I went to Laramie to watch the game last night and I was fortunate that Coach Marso got me ticket right behind the Griz bench. The griz played a great first half and shot the ballvery well. In the second half I think the tem really settled for the half court game and did not even try to run. I would like to see the them push the ball a little more with Ellis and Martin both being pretty quick. Over all they played very well.

There were three calls that had an effect on the game. Te first was in the first half when Chase got out on a fast break and was leveld while making a lay-up and he was called for a charge when the Wyoming defender was in mid-air. The second was when Hasquet hit a three early in the second hald and the refs called a foul away from the ball and did not allow the three. The third was the horendous double foul. There is no doubt that Martin got steam rolled by James Spencer. Two of the refs called a charge but the ref on the baseline called the block. Being a big Pokes fan, I was embarrassed as hell that the Griz got screwed at the end of the game.

Thanks for the report. I listened to the game and the Wyoming announcer didn't hide the fact there were some questionable calls that went against the Griz. WY has a nice looking team and can certainly score the ball. That being said, I think the Griz coul dhave overcome those calls had they taken better care of the ball the final two minutes. No question they played far better than they did against Utah Valley. Utah Valley gave Cal all they wanted last night though, had that game been a home game they might have knocked the Golden Bears off.

I think that Utah Valley isn't that bad of a team. We definetely should have played better, but they made plays when they needed to.
