i hope a bunch of 20 year-old punks take over egriz

Wow, you took this from a joke to dark as shit in a hurry. Congrats!
My sense of humor or tolerance of drug/alcohol abuse is near zero. Probably due to having to deal with those losers for decades. Nothing funny about them or their problems. Joke? It obviously went way over my head. Hope my explanation helps. Nothing personal.

Got it. I’m much more sensitive to the issue having numerous fam and friends that have dealt with drug abuse/addiction for big chunks of their lives, including myself(clean now for over 20 years). One thing I have definitely learned is that, once addicted, they are no longer the same person they used to be. The ones that are able to clean up almost always return to being that same person I knew and loved before their addiction. Much like guns don’t kill people and spoons don’t make you fat, it’s the drugs controlling the people making you think they are P’sOS. Not trying to harp on you for your beliefs cus I don’t know what all has happened to you to get you to that point. I do know that empathy is an amazing tool when dealing with people that aren’t the same as us. Those POS’s most likely have parents, siblings, spouses, and kids that love them dearly and pray for them to get the help the desperately need cus 99% of them will not be able to get clean on their own. It took a prison sentence for me. Sorry for the soapbox talk. Like I said, this subject hits home for me big time.

It was a good soapbox, and one that more people should listen to in this country. Good on you for holding strong to this, and for giving grace to those struggling in their darkest moments. You've got a big heart in that chest.
