I HATE Idaho game thread

rebounding is looking a little better. Martin looks a lot more active offensively and working pretty hard out there. That is a good sign. Something was said to get him to pick it up some. I am liking that.

Good to know the UofM actually scheduled games in the month of December. Wouldn't want your teams getting prepared for the interminable Big Sky Conference Schedule ahead. While I will take the UofM schedule in terms of opponents, the next four games are well, um...underwhelming.

I think we know less about this team than just about any other UofM squad in recent memory. They have had a ton of practice time lately and I wonder if it will translate to some improvements in areas of weakness. Idaho probably would finish in the middle to the upper of half of the BSC this year, so this game in terms of litmus tests, would be a good one to get a handle.

I really like our trio of Jamar, Gregory, and Deshields. Gregory is deadly from 3. Keron is getting more consistent with every game. He's playing great letting the game come to him this game. All of 3 3's were well within the offense, nothing forced.
 
DAMN, we are seeing glimpses of what Andy Martin is capable of. He is playing like a big man on both ends. It looks like someone told him don't worry about misses, don't worry about fouls, just play with confidence and see what happens. He is looking to score. He is going after boards hard, and he is playing tough defense. Wayne has to be pleased with his play this game, beyond the stats.

Officials calling it tight until the last two minutes when KJ and Wise both got (literally!!) hammered on drives. KJ took a shot to the chops. Not certain how 3 officials fail to call those.
 
I know were trying to form some, any semblance of an inside game but I just don't think posting up hutch is ever really going to work. Painful to watch him with the ball in his hands down there.Probably the best I've seen Andy play. Needs to play with that confidence all the time. Go Griz!!!

Andy has a high ceiling. One never knows when a young big man will get it. It looks like to me, Andy is getting it and can only get better. We need to keep in mind, he was not expected to be a big part of this team until next season. Due to defections the original game plan went out the door. More credit to Andy for keeping a positive attitude and sacrificing his long term potential.
 
Martin playing really well. Boxing out. Checked a shot. A little presence inside. The whole team was patting him and the head and talking to hI'm a lot. I like it.
