things to do than watch the game.

Did they show the infamous bobcat Trail of Tears on national television?

Once again, why talk shit about the team that we lost to in our home stadium? Just seems stupid and petty to me.

Because they focus their season on beating UM and then lay an egg in the playoffs.

UM only looks at MSU as a bump in the road.

We lost, but big deal, we still have something like 66 wins out of 100 don't we? Plus we will be back with a vengeance.

PT(Cruiser): I'm not talking shit about the cats. They had a far superior season to ours, and they should be proud of that. But to be honest, I'm damn happy they got their asses handed to 'em in a hat, just like real cat fans are happy on those rare occasions the GRIZ lose in the playoffs. They call it a "rivalry" for a reason.

And even if I weren't happy, I find their Trail of Tears DAMN funny, and was simply asking if it made national television.

So was the damn thing on or not??

Totally agree with PT. And, if what you're saying is true, that the Cats focus on the Griz, and the Griz' goals are bigger, than you should be even less apt to talk junk because our Griz pissed those BIGGER goals away by Halloween this year. And have been doing nothing since Nov. 17.

I'm as anti-MSU as anyone, but this week it has become quite clear that a small faction of Griz posters/fans are every bit as fixated on MSU as those same posters claim MSU fans are on us.

How can I be fixated on the bobcats if I didn't even watch the game?

Pay attention, or at least just answer the question.

i was referring to phxgriz post, not yours. and i dont know if they showed the trail. i was at the game, on the field and didn't see the broadcast. actually, it didn't really seem like many people left early from my vantage point.

Sorry. My apologies, Hav.

Everett, I didn't see them show it, but I wasn't watching too close at the end. As far as talking about it, I just hate MSU and love watching them lose. I could care less if they cheer for us, I could care less if we cheer for them. Does that cover it all?

We've been reduced to gloating about the cats losing in the quarter finals of the playoffs and rooting against EWU! What has happened to the griz?

I was glad the Cats lost (I never, ever cheer for the Cats), but I'm rooting for EWU.

For the rest of the playoffs, I'm not rooting or hoping for ANYONE to win...PERIOD!

I'll have my favorite(s), but I ain't sayin' shit about what they are! Every time I say who I want to win...EVERY SINGLE MF'in' time, so far, the team I want to win, loses!??! For reference, look at the SHSU vs MSU/ Wofford vs NDSU results! I can't seem to pick a winner for shit!!!

The Griz not being in the playoffs has F'd up EVERYTHING!

Yup. And, those fans who hate the Bobcats based on some personal experience with Cat fans in the past (believe me, I've had a few - caught some pissing on my car in the litter box parking lot once) need to realize that there are many d-bags in maroon who have probably made a less-than-classy impression on behalf of Griz Nation.

False. Why do you play the game? To win. Because you HAVE won in the past doesn't matter this year. How did the 66/100 help you this year? Hardly at all. It isn't a factor, similar to when many Cat fans said "the Cats haven't had this many wins since the 1984 championship season." It is totally irrelevant.

UM only looks at MSU as a bump in the road? They looked at them this season as a chance to have a winning season. They looked at them in 2010 as a chance to get in to the playoffs. What will it be next year?

MSU's football ambitions of course involves beating your in-state rival. This is not unique to Montana or any other state, for that matter. Everyone wants to beat your rival. Michigan/Ohio State, Alabama/Auburn, South Carolina/Clemson, etc, are just a few examples of this. But it also has to involve more than that. No one is arguing the Cats' season was great. 11 wins is nice, but they fell short. They left an incredible amount of talent on the field and didn't pull it out in the clutch. You're right.

But taking a lecture from a Griz fan about success this season is like taking a lecture from Mitt Romney about running a good campaign.

How many times have we heard ash say the cats had three goals for '12?

#1 beat the griz
2. win the big sky
3. national championship

I've never heard a griz coach or even a fan say the number 1 goal of the griz is to beat the cats.

That's one of the three goals, yes. It isn't necessarily the 1st on the list. Going 1-10 doesn't mean jack squat, even if you beat your rival.

Isn't it one of the goals for the Griz to beat the Cats too? Or have expectations started so low that it is now "win 6 games?"
