May be my imagination but it seems like there have been double the amount of people trying to sell their tickets down by the tailgate/footbridge area this season. Anybody else get that?
Yeah, I noticed that too.

Early season is always like that. With conference play starting there will be a lot more butts in the seats.

I hope that is the case, there were a ton of tickets for sale on craigslist for this game. As long as they all get bought and the people buying them are louder than the people selling them!

There were a LOT of empty seats on the west side stands against Liberty.

u aint the only one dude. i started drinking a couple hrs ago. not stopping til late sunday.   jk im never stopping cuz i aint a quitter!

I am excited for the game! We are driving over Friday night and will be ready to go on Saturday.

Regarding the crowd; I DVR'd the game and finally watched it last night. I was very surprised to see all the empty seats on the east side throughout the second half. It is funny that I really didn't notice while watching the game in person from the NEZ because I was glued to watching the field. It was pretty sad when viewed on tv. Is it really more about the social and drinking than watching the game????
This isnt possible.....we sell out every game and our stadium is packed every week. Oh and its loud too.

The game will be fine. The atmosphere MAY return..... But for now Its been sold piece by piece. I got a charge out of the Jimmy John type texting Contest at App State. They finally announced there was no winner because no one voted.

I forgot about that, thanks for the reminder, tnt! :thumb:

When they announced the results, all the Griz fans around me had a very big laugh!

You can't forget that it was cold...and Monte was there.

Excited, yes. Nervous, very.

struggling offense……awful secondary……homecoming…….distractions………sluggish crowd…….fired up and confident NAU…….ball destined to bounce Jerome’s way at some point.

Not a good recipe.
I just hope the crowd isn't as dead as it was against Liberty. And hopefully we get some secondary play...that would help.

A nice summary of the state of Griz football at this point. Has anyone checked out the thickness of fuzz on caterpillars, or that the geese are heading south(following U.S. 93 out of town)early? My dogs fur is definitely thicker.
Here's some good news, Sagarin rates the Griz 104, Cats 135, NAU 136. The game is on Directv on three channels.
Lets hope for a craniorectalectomy by the Griz's non-performers on Saturday.

I am starting to feel it. Last game was ......let's say it was the drizzling shits......But I have new found hope.

If my magic prognosis is right we will start to see flashes of good stuff from our team. This is the game I predicted McKinney would have his come out game......He needs to take a step up in any event and I think he can.

Our dozen freshmen (plus) playing need to show some flashes of not just speed but some super plays.

Tomorow. If we win, it will be great. I have confidence in the young team. Yeah, lets get em Griz!

Wasn't Northern Colorado Kemp's "breakout game" last season? Where is he again...oh yeah.

Wait........this sounds too familiar.........Oh yeah, NCU is when Gerald Kemp had his "breakout" game last year.

There is a very simple way to keep people IN the stadium. Do what EVERY major stadium does:do not allow people to leave and re-enter. This decision would require 2 other moves. 1. Allow beer sales in the stadium and 2. Dramatically expand the "inside" dimensions of the stadium, adding beer gardens and more bathrooms. Don't think this won't happen eventually? It will. Just not sure how long it will take "the U" (no not Miami) to come to terms with (mass) alcohol sales on campus. Drinks are already served in the exclusive stadium clubs&private boxes, so why not allow average Joe's to buy beer too? The U makes more money& people don't have to go to their RV to chug a couple beers at halftime. It's a win-win in my mind.

When the million dollar deficit came to light 10 or so years ago one of the fundraising plans was to allow alcohol sales in the stadium. It was Dennison who shot that down. Now with a new prez will it come up again??

Doesn't matter to me. I get a couple cans in at every game.
