I count 13

Following that train of logic Royce also needs to be fired himself.

For actually taking action into his own hands, and changing the face of Griz football for the better?

My extensive family is all in support of Engstrom due to his dedication to higher education. I have complete faith in President Engstrom's judgment and integrity.

The wounds will heal. He does not make hasty decisions.

As angry as I was when I first learned of the purge, and I was really ticked, it did not take long to realize that Dr. Engstrom did the right thing. The integrity of the university and its mission of higher education are paramount. Football is secondary, and the program will recover.

Who are the 13 "players" with "legal trouble"?

I believe the team usually has more than 100 players. Pflu has had 2 full years and had started a 3rd. There were about 23 seniors last year. There are several tranfers on campus now at the start of his 3rd year. This would indicate Pflu has had over 130 players.

Montana isn't on schollie. I doubt that Maus has been on schollie.

Before posting anything more involving numbers, you might want to do some remedial math.

How is life from the outside looking in, PR? Still calling reporters trying to act like you matter?

Have never called a reporter in my life. When one supports coaches, players and AD's, like I do, people and their families appreciate that. I realize you wouldn't understand that.
I hate to say this, but there is something very creepy about your "attachment" to Montana's football program....Really weird.

KokoGriz, I've been spending a lot of time just taking all of this in. So far, I've been reading many well-reasoned and thought out suggestions for why Engstrom should go. Yours are not one of them. Not even close.

You criticize the "lynch mob" mentality every single post you get your hands on. We know, Koko. We know how you feel. But you would have the Board of Regents act with the same lack of procedural due process that you accuse him of acting with in firing Robin and Jim. It is laughable to think you haven't even considered your incredible hypocrisy in all of it, either.

These awful events happened less than 72 hours ago. Let's see what happens next week and what other information comes out. I'm tired of reading your "lynch mob" posts every five minutes while that is exactly what you are advocating for yourself.

For the rest of my fellow egrizzers, carry on. We'll get through this!

I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

I agree. It's the further actions that will be taken. My impression is that a bigger storm is coming, due to actions not information.

Since the FCS doesn't make the news like the SEC, the NCAA will be brief and satisfied that it was handled. The most that the NCAA would have to say is " we know now", so therefore when something does happen you will make ESPN regardless of record.

If you ever had to fire someone for potentially putting your job on the line it's not easy, and when you have to do it, you don't sleep well especially when they are as popular as the two who took the brunt
of the actions. Could the program be in better hands, well the first real big holiday is Memorial day, and if you have a Montana football #, you will be watched like a momma hawk looking for something for her chicks, they call that the front page.

This is the first step to a clean slate for the squad, and they better police themselves, casue the next one
will not just be for the local papers,it's going BIG.
