Are they better than coach hauck is leading? Yes. Am I worried about the oline? Yes will they build their scheme to help the young oline? Yes. As I have said in many other places, this team is gonna look very different than the last few years. Our run schemes will help the oline rather than hurt us. Doesn’t mean the oline will be perfect. They will have missed assignments. They talent is not what BH is worried about. But two juniors two sophomore and a freshman is not gonna be our most experienced group
As usual, there is way too much emphasis by fans on size, and way too little on skill, experience, and depth. Every Big Sky team has 300-lb. O-linemen across their front. That doesn't mean that they have good O-lines. 300 lbs is the norm now for FCS and FBS linemen.
Western Illinois and Montana State starters don't average over 300 on the 0-line. MSU has only 1 starter over 300, and he is 305.
Are you making up stats again?
Nice try, but it looks like you are the one making up stats. But why are we surprised? Uh, here is the link to the Western Illinois roster. It shows 14 O-linemen, with 8 of them being 300+ pounds. Of the remaining 6 who are under 300, four of them are freshmen, and I am quite sure most or all will be 300+ by the time they are juniors.
