I would prefer the Griz be the ones to do it.

I hear you, Htown. Given the performance of the last 4 games between them, I would like to see Little Brother get some revenge. Especially from the fat mouthy kid down the street.

Frankly I’m tired of seeing grown ass men dressed in their Sunday going to church Carhartts in clinical depression and 50 gallon foam hats filled with tears.

We would probably need someone from the AD's office to answer about the trophy, but from my understanding it would not leave.

That trophy is specific to the annual rivalry game that is tracked, and at the end of the century, the team with the most wins gets to keep it. I believe that was all set and agreed to, and I'm not aware of any playoff game exceptions.

I am happy to hear if I am wrong about it, that is just my understanding of that trophy, it is oddly specific.

IFF (If and ONLY if) the scats get past NDSU and the Griz meet them, I think it will be a completely different offensive team for the scats.
I cannot prove this in a court of law, yet I believe that Sean Chambers was sick (flu, Covid, etc.) and that was why he didn't play hardly any snaps.
When he was in for one of his three plays, if you look in his eyes something wasn't right with him. He had that look that some of our guys had in their eyes at the NAU game.
No excuses. Not a scat fan. Just an observeration.

Although I want Lafayette just so a new fan base can get an education about Montana Grizzly football, I would love to see Furman come in, just so the Griz could beat them like they did for the chipper years back and remind them of their rightful place in the pecking order.

I don't think Bobby has ever beaten a team twice in the same season. Rematches don't happen very often, so the sample size is small.

3. Can the Griz catch lightning in a bottle twice? It's hard to beat any team twice... could the cats come in with a better plan and effort? I don't see it getting any worse than it was.

In 2016 they split
In 2014 NDSU won twice
In 2012 NDSU won twice

A championship team believes that if they beat your ass once, they can do it again.

I don't understand any concerns regarding NDSU. After watching them closely the past 5 years, this by far is there worse team. They slipped into the playoffs with a soft schedule and being a member of the MVC. Last years team made their way to the chipper because of upsets along the way letting them retain home field.

A good running team will run rough shot over the Bizon. All their losses this year were to running teams, UND, USD and SDSU. They defend the pass fairly well. Bobcats will kills them in Bozo.

Fans have lost interest as shown with their attendance numbers. I have been in bars in Fargo and had to ask them to turn on the Bizon game, weird. One place we were watching a game people were actually rooting against them. Things are not rosy in Bisonville and the seat is getting hotter and hotter.

Typical behavior of an entitled fan base. When a team has been good for a long time and then springs a leak, the fair weather rats will quickly jump ship. The Griz were sort of headed that way and it has done the program some good to suffer just a little bit. I think the fans are re-energized and recommitted to the program this year.

Without Cliff, this team is mediocre because the defense wouldn’t be able to get off the field. Damn lucky he transferred or we would all be signing the “Bobby cannot develop a QB” tune. So many offensive weapons and he has used them all. The O line got some relief as well with his style of play. You just don’t know what we will do to burn you if you are a defensive coordinator. Great job by the staff and kudos to the team. They won the biggest Brawl ever, took back the long missing BSC crown and put themselves in a position to go very deep in the playoffs and potentially win a natty. Every Griz fan should be happy. Just shows the importance of recruiting and having a top tier QB. Defensively the coaches have done something amazing. BTW - Germer deserves some credit. God knows he got blasted on this forum so many times.
