Huse blows it!

The way the Griz were shooting at the FT line in that game (and of late) sending a Griz player to the line even if it's to shoot 3 might've made more sense.

of late? in case you hadn't noticed they were in the top 10 in the nation shooting free throws before the weekend. I will take the of late any day over the weekend. ;)

31-45 against SUU and then whatever it ended up against MSU 12-21 (don't recall the stat) I should have said "that week" instead of saying "of late". My bad, thanks for keeping me in check GB

I know football is your mainstay, so I gotta cut you some slack.

that is certainly one line of thinking coaches can consider. however, very few coaches like to just hand the opponent an opportunity for two points with that much time left. you guys make both free throws and suddenly its a one point game. that puts a turnover very much into play which few coaches like to see happen when the opponent is pressing full court at the end of the game. not to mention the chance that had we tried to foul a wise offensive player that you guys have a few of can quickly get a shot off and suddenly there is an opportunity for a 3 or even 4 point play.

i see your point and don't even necessarily disagree but i'm pointing out that huse didn't "blow" it. he expected his team to defend the three and we didn't do that well. not to mention your guy hit a huge shot. seems like putting this all on huse is really taking away all of the credit from a player making a big play.

agreed. Great call by Tinks, great fake and shot by MW.

If that scenario plays out 100 times, Griz make that shot less than a third of the time (Made up stat!) you get the point.

Trust the percentages and your defense. Huse didn't blow it, Griz made a great play and MSU defense lost concentration for a split second.
