Funny, I am pretty sure every FCS team has DT's.... :thumb:
DT is the premium recruiting target. It is what separates the SEC from the rest in general. They seem to get the freak athletes at that position more often than not.

Learn to use the quote function or just quit trying

But do they still get gassed?

Reading is fundamental. Then again, when you (and by "you" I mean YOU< AtlantaGriz1) routinely just make shit up (like "perennial top 3 team" and "Bobby Hauck-coached teams were in the top 5 EVERY YEAR" bullshit), I wouldn't expect you to understand actual FACTS.

That being said, there's a vast difference between "accepting mediocrity" and realizing that what the organization has been through in the past 5 years is bound to throw up a few challenges and result in a few bumps in the road. Unlike you, however, I believe that it's not that far away from being great again, and that it's fixable in pretty short order, especially with Stitt at the helm. Difference is I'm a glass-half-full guy and you're, well.....NOT.

no. i'm a realist and you're a sugar coater

No comment on the constant stream of lies and half-truths that come out of your mouth? I love how when you're called on them you resort to the name-calling and deflect and change your argument. You're like arguing with a woman.

The truth hurts. You post nothing but Bullsh*t. It is actually quite humorous what a homer you are.

My god! Some of you have our O-Line hung out to dry and others have them dead tired laying outside the Mo club waiting for it to open to have a cold one!

Belly fat, BS, Death and Dooms Day seem to be the hot topic on EGriz at the moment. All of you can't be drunk at the same time, toss out the nasty outsiders, not sure I have listened to so much dog poo from E-Griz!

Bobby Hauck and I discussed this Offensive Linemen recruiting problem over a few beers. He repeated over and over the fact that it is the MOST DIFFICULT POSITION for any team to obtain GOOD OFFENSIVE LINEMEN. That fact is well known to good coaches at the college level. It also holds true for the Pros.

Stitt has what he has and it ain't going to change anytime soon. Gus may not have a full 2 seconds to make up his mind to get rid of the ball. He (Gus) is the key for us this year! The headlines may read "Gus gets Gassed" instead of any words about our O-Line, I think our O-Line will be well rested at the end of the game.

I think it's both OL and DT. Hard to find kids who have the size to play at the Division 1 level. Even harder to find guys with the size and feet/athletiscm to play. Those kids get gobbled up pretty quickly by the FBS schools in the region. This leaves most programs scrambling to find senior film of kids to offer before signing day. It also leaves room for lots of "projects" whether it be a kid who doesn't have the size now, but has the frame to add size later, or a big kid who coaches think they can develop into a better technician.

I agree that these two positions are the most difficult to recruit at the FCS level. But I still think that D-linemen are the toughest to recruit.

I don't agree. Many lineman are still growing and not yet developed at all coming out of high school. Many growing and athletic kids get overlooked by the big boys. Schools like UM don't get the huge, developed, talented, and athletic lineman out of high school, but they get many others that grow, develop and become terrific players.

I know of no woman as dumb as Atlanta Griz1, and I know some pretty dumb ones.

The lies are pretty legendary on this board. How can we forget the Michael Hawethorne fiasco??

Or about challenging someone to a meeting at the Mo Club, and then NOT showing up????

Or about a certain poster introducing himself to Dill in the Mo Club one night, only to have Dill get up and run out of the back door.

Hopefully, his Vietnam sniper buddy doesn't take me out tonight when I go out in the back yard to water the grass!

Truth. That's funny. Two bold-faced lies inside two days and you just blow by them like you never even said them. Can't believe a fucking thing you post.

Even more humorous is the fact you call yourself a Griz fan but do nothing but bitch, bitch, bitch. You ARE a woman, aren't you? :x

You post that you want "football discussion" then:

You lie.
You deflect.
You constantly change the argument.
You disagree with every single person who's opinion differs from yours.
You get emotional.
You call everyone names.
You bitch CONSTANTLY
Then you get sent to timeout.

Rinse and repeat. I take it back, you're NOT a woman, you're more likely a third grade girl.

Longtimecatfan...so you have watched a game coached by Stitt?

You want to make it sound like the Griz defense will be on the field for 45 minutes per game because they want to be a hurry-up offense, which you want to think means 2 minute drives...

No I haven't, but I don't need to in order to know what's going to happen when a guy thinks he can run, was it 100?, plays per game.

I highly doubt you'll see a 45/15 split on TOP, and if you think that's what I'm saying, you're missing it.

It's the number of plays, not the duration that wears out the defense. By the 4th qtr, it's who's got more stamina and endurance.

If you're gunning for 100 plays on offense, you better have a defense that can play for 100 plays as well.

Every game turns into a shoot out.

You'll see.

Man, you really don't get it. Generally, if one team runs the hurry-up and lots of plays, say 90, and the other team doesn't run a hurry-up, chances are that the team not running the hurry-up will run far fewer plays. Look at Box's post. He laid it out for you.

Bump

CP ran about the same number of plays

Whoever had the ball last won
